The entire pitbull race needs to be eradicated.   No need to wait until they attack someone.    Those dogs come from Hell.

  • Police slow as usual, dog owner should be in jail and those dogs killed.   Although, no witnesses but they know it was pitbulls

I got and tried pepper spray.  (1) You need to be too close (2) the wind has to cooperate (3) and most important ... for dogs, cats, snakes, etc ... humans are moving in slow motion. (3) the pepper spray stream is not strong ..... If you are bothered by a dog;  Do not run, that makes you "prey"  Get your back up against a wall, in a corner, etc, do NOT let the dog (s) get BEHIND you.  Even pretending to pick up a rock will stop most Thai dogs for a moment.  Carry a stick, or get a stick, they back off from that.  Most important, stay calm, move smoothly and confidently and get away.

All PIT BULL dogs should be required to do 90-Day reports, "in person".

If they bite the Immigration Officers, then Immigration will know what to do.

what a gruesome death, and why are these dogs not exterminated ?

Indeed, nobody knows, probably a budist thing.

Tend to agree, but this is Thailand...

Perhaps there's other folks in the locality, no mentioned in the story,  who have knowedge of these 5 dogs and know that they are PIT Bulls and can identify the breed from professional photos.

You can't possibly be comparing the people and culture of Taiwan to up - country - Thai - farmers and the packs of near feral dogs they feed.

And what difference does the country make, they are the 100% the same breed, all capable of severe violence.

And no training will remove their ability to kill.

No it doesn't. The victim had 5 children.

Now all the retards that say every pit bull should be eradicated ! It’s the owners fault, he’s the one that should be punished! I’ve only ever had pit bulls and all have been super soft , well trained dogs, that do not wonder around freely. A lot of Thais just get them for gaining face and are piss poor at actual training and supervision!
Throw in a f lazy police farce and this is the situation, as I bet the owner lets them roam around often .
RIP , hope the owner gets taken for everything he has!

I understand your position maybe what is needed everywhere in the world but start at home first is for someone like you to train and teach owners how to own and be responsible. I hear a lot from people comments who side with these dogs but reality there are too many of these death.

Seems quite a while now since the last attack but sure as god made little green apples it will happen again.
Only one solution,as the Daleks say,Exterminate the breed.

Legal action...    how ? a tiny pay out and face saved.

The dogs need to be destroyed - immediately - no other response and whether that response is inhumane or not is irrelevant, the dogs are not human, they are not safe around humans - people, especially children need to be protected.

These dogs - world-wide - should not be in existence - they present a disproportionate level of danger to humans compared to all other domesticated animals.

Agree 100 %, I have said it b4 Thailand will never learn, these dogs must be destroyed and the breed banned as it is now in many countries.

They can never be trusted, it's been proven, time and time again.
