Selling silver

Featured Replies

Has anyone had any positive experiences with selling silver recently? Given the high price at the moment it would appear to be an opportune time to consider selling some items that I have that are not really of any sentimental value. I also have silver trapped within a lot of X-ray film that would be worth trying to retrieve, but that would be much harder to monetize. Anyone have any sensible recommendations in that regard too? Thank you.

What kind of silver ?

Coins (Mapleleafs to koala's) , bars, old mixed silver ?

In Thailand ?  They are not that interested in silver.

In Europe , some give 13 % above spot for well known coins.

Old cup/trophy and perhaps some other "trinkets". Yes, looking to sell in Bangkok. So, seems challenging from what you are saying.

I bought a bunch of maple leafs 15 years ago. Almost all are tarnishing from oxidation.

How do you keep them ?

The ML I have are from 2012 and kept in their tubes.

Last quick check last year , showed them as pristine.

So did my koalas /lunars.

They are in plastic but not airtight.

Must be bad Canadian air for you.

Look on youtube how to clean them.

If you sell them , they may not care about the oxidation.
