I'm certainly not going to explain the problems that arose, but we couldn't agree on the terms for a mutually agreeable separation.

I have scanned through some of the many posts on this long thread...

What I notice is that some of Lorente's posts indicate perfect English - like the one above - I quote again - "I'm certainly not going to explain the problems that arose, but we couldn't agree on the terms for a mutually agreeable separation."

Yet when Lorente is asked about his nationality (I think two times?), Lorente says "I am from French".

All real Frenchmen know it's 'La Belle France'?

Also, the tenacity of numerous responses make it seem like Lorente is in a cosy, comfortable spot somewhere and easily able to generate a crafted response?

The balance of probably makes Lorente's predicament seem like Xmas morality test - as a some have speculated?

I'm having some trouble and I'm here to ask for help with your opinions. I know there will be negative comments mixed with negative judgments, but I understand. Basically, in three days, I'll be homeless and already overstay my visa. Why? A non-consensual divorce took away what little I had on me. I'm waiting for money to allow me to return home and pay my overstay, but between holidays and weekends, I won't be able to receive anything until January 7th.

So I ask:

1) I need to go to the bank to request a new passbook (I need it for divorce-related matters), as I need to see my transactions from the past few weeks. Could they deny me due to  the overstay? If they want to close my account, they can. Could going to the branch where I opened my account in 2018 help my situation?

2) I don't smoke, drink, or use drugs, so I don't need a lot of inmoney until January: where can I sleep without  problems? Eating is relative. If I find help, fine. Otherwise, drinking water is fine.

I'm in Pattaya.

PS: My marriage failed because of both of us. I have my faults, she has hers. We've been happy for years and have three wonderful children, thankfully all grown up. My adventure in Thailand will end in January, and I'd appreciate any advice you could give me o

You can sleep and eat free at almost any temple.

Not necessarily, but they will refuse to issue a new passbook.

OK. Have not had this happen to me. No one checks my visa at my bank.

Yes, they do. Every time you hand over your passport and they take a copy of it they check your permission to stay. You may not see them do it but they look.
