A 36-year-old woman was arrested at Khok Kram Police Station in Bangkok after officers discovered methamphetamine pills and crystal methamphetamine in her possession while she attempted to visit her husband in a detention cell. Police said the arrest was made on 24 December 2025 after officers noticed suspicious behaviour and a strong smell resembling illegal drugs near the holding area. The seizure included 41.49 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 62 methamphetamine pills, with the suspect taken into custody at the scene.

The arrest followed heightened vigilance by officers on duty at Khok Kram Police Station under the Metropolitan Police Bureau. Pol Lt Gen Siam Boonsom, commander of the Metropolitan Police, along with senior officers including Pol Maj Gen Thiradet Thamsuthee and Pol Maj Gen Kiatikul Sontinern, oversaw the operation. The suspect, identified as Ms Angkana, arrived at the station requesting permission to visit her husband, who was being held on charges of driving while under the influence of drugs.

According to police, officers observed that Ms Angkana appeared nervous and emitted a smell similar to narcotics. A search of her brown shoulder bag revealed methamphetamine pills, while additional packages of crystal methamphetamine and pills were found in black zip-lock bags placed on an air-conditioning compressor near the detention room. When questioned, Ms Angkana admitted the drugs belonged to her and stated she had obtained them from a man known only as “Ken” in Lopburi province on or about 23 November 2025.

Investigators said she purchased crystal methamphetamine at 200 baht per gram and methamphetamine pills at 18 baht each, reselling them in Bangkok and Pathum Thani for 300 baht per gram and 30 baht per pill. She told police the profits were intended for personal use and to supply her husband and that sales were arranged through social media. A search of her mobile phone reportedly uncovered chat histories linked to drug trafficking activities.

Khaosod reported that police conducted a urine test on Ms Angkana, which returned negative for drug use. She was formally charged with possession of a Category 1 narcotic, methamphetamine hydrochloride, with intent to sell as a commercial offence. Ms Angkana and all seized evidence were handed over to investigators at Khok Kram Police Station for further legal proceedings.
