First of all: Will I Am -Damn, I had to expand the screen view to check her out more. Dayyum.

This evergreen topic over on Passport Bro's always seem to render the verdict that Thailand offers easier and better looking.

And no muslim-itis. Competition will be stiffer. But your low self esteem dream of a holiday girlfriend is def doable.

I have met a couple of Passport Bro's off of the site, and it's great to see these young new pioneers in Asian relationships.

There are many, many Christian potential "girlfriends" in Indonesia.

None of the ones (faith unknown) I met ever mentioned religion.

Fair enough.

I was more thinking about Jakarta where a friend has had some Muslim girlfriend success.

I went to Bali 40 years ago and it was a paradise, I went back 15 years ago and it was absolutely horrific, the overdevelopment, and the congestion in the southern third of the island was similar to Manhattan at rush hour.

I will never go back again and if I did it would only be if I could fly by helicopter from the airport to Ubud and then travel north, east and west from there.

Bali is ruined. Don't bother.

Are the two thumbs down from people who have been to Bali recently, and loved the massive congestion, the extraordinary levels of overdevelopment, huge crowds of young Aussie college kids running around drunk and carrying on, or is this just muscle memory?

A friend of mine now lives in Morocco and tells me the action is insane. Gorgeous, young Muslim women who are quite secular and love the action. PFP, as he is in his early 70s. Muslims like sex too. LOL.

Hmmm.... I'd sure like to go there someday.

I wonder if it's different from Kansas?

Yeah, is it anything wrong with that? Not fitting your preferences? Are people allowed to think different to you, and have individual preferences?

You are just another little annoying foreigner coming to Thailand, and so proud of yourself that you can hack it in a foreign country on your little purse of money. Have to sit on AN every day creating new idiotic topics just because it gives you a purpose in life. Telling everyone you are travelling around so much, just to fool people that you have a happy life. News flash dude! Happy people don´t make 10 new thread per week on an online forum.

So, yeah! My life in Isaan is perfect with my wife, our 2 daughters and her family as well as many friends.

Not at all. Nor is there anything wrong with having an Isaan wife. Enjoy your life in the provinces and Merry Christmas Mr Gottfrid.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you too.

Happy New Year.

I would go so far as to say it is a great privilege to be with a good hearted, beautiful Isaan woman.

Obviously, to be with a Balinese woman is a prvilege of tremendous magnitude also, which I suspect no one on here has experienced long term.

I’ve accepted farm life as my future in Thailand and I am now leaning into it

I'm also planning for my full on retirement as a land owner in the provinces, watching house build videos on Youtube on repeat.

I plan to build a porch that wraps around the house southern style and sit in a rocking chair whilst I eat my edibles and watch the wife's family work.

Farm life in Thailand is rubber tree tapping at 3am. Getting grass for cows to eat.

Surely the cows can eat the grass by themselves? Don't tell me you have to cut it for them like chicken for kids?

Cows are usually kept near house and the grass might be 3km away. So you pick up grass on 3 wheeler and bring to house.

Oh I see. Yes, I read there are wars in Africa between cattle farmers and other farmers about grazing patches. So the moral of the story is to build your house near grazing lands, if you plan to raise cattle. Plan ahead.
