Three nightclub security guards were stabbed and injured during a violent incident involving a group of Chinese men at a popular entertainment venue in South Pattaya, prompting a major police investigation. The attack occurred late on 28 December, leaving two guards in a serious condition and raising concerns about safety in the city’s nightlife areas.

Police from Pattaya City Police Station and rescue workers were called to the scene at 11.49pm after reports of a stabbing outside the venue. Officers found that three guards had suffered knife wounds and had already been rushed to hospital. A Chinese man was also found injured, reportedly hurt during the altercation.

According to staff and security personnel, the violence followed an earlier confrontation inside the club involving a group of three or four Chinese men who had been drinking. One man in the group, referred to by witnesses as “the boss”, allegedly grabbed and slapped a Thai woman on the buttocks in the middle of the venue. The incident sparked an argument, after which guards intervened and asked the group to leave.

Witnesses told police that the men reacted angrily when escorted out, issuing threats and claiming to be members of a call centre scam gang. They reportedly warned that they would return with guns and knives to seek revenge. After leaving the area for a period, one man dressed in black allegedly returned and attacked the guards with a knife.

The sudden assault caused panic among staff and patrons, with several people attempting to intervene before the attacker fled. During the struggle, another Chinese man sustained injuries, believed to have occurred amid the confusion outside the venue. Emergency services treated the wounded before transferring them to hospital for further care.

Police said the incident has heightened concern among local businesses and workers in Pattaya’s nightlife sector, particularly regarding violent behaviour linked to disputes inside entertainment venues. Officers are reviewing CCTV footage from the club and surrounding area to identify all those involved and to establish a clear sequence of events.

SiamChon reported that investigators are also collecting witness statements and forensic evidence to support potential charges. Authorities have confirmed that efforts are under way to track down all suspects connected to the stabbing and to ensure they face legal action.

Ask yourself why these incidents mostly occurred in Thailand. You don't often hear these violent incidents in other parts of SE Asia.  Its a weekly occurrence either in BKK, Pattaya and Phuket.  we all know the reasons why, but the Thai government and ever hungry TAT don't seem to care or address these matters with any urgency whatsoever.  I guess as long as the numbers of tourists continue to be high, a blind eye it shall be!

In a desperate bid to boost the arrival numbers they have invited anyone and everyone. The Triads, the Bratva, and other very unsavory elements.

Roses have thorns.  'Houses' is better but you can't own one if you are a farang.

I had a bit of a run in Saturday with a bunch of Chinese, I was trying to turn the corner and they were all stood in the road I shouted to them to move, and one told me to eff off, Don't pick a fight with an old man I'll just shoot you.

Seems like its at Garden 168 Pattaya Tai. been there once, very popular with Thai and some Asian tourists.

If they don't try address it then why all the crackdowns on visas and bank accounts, as well as recent raids on scam centers and foreigners working illegally?  Not necessarily saying they are going about it the right way, but most of the reasons they give for doing these things is specifically because of this.

As far as I know, clubs check everyone with a quick pat down.

They did not enter the club with weapons.

They left to get their weapons and came back and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Being a security guard anywhere in the world is a risk. Unlike cops, they're not armed and if the other guy is you're dead.

These gang members don't seem to be afraid of jail.

They are used to being in and out.

Did he mention he was part of a call center gang or sth? Since they have him in custody, they should make him squeal and take down the whole scam center.

In all my years living in Pattaya I've never had a problem with "Pattaya Security". I'm always courteous to them, and they are courteous to me.
