Who was Renee Good?

A New York Post story related to the lady shot by ICE in Minnesota reveals many interesting details.

Far from being an innocent victim trapped in a difficult situation and reacting out of fear, she was an anti-ICE activist. She was trained in how to spot and disrupt ICE agents and their operations. Also how to use her vehicle to do so. According to a friend,

[Renee Good] was trained against these ICE agents — what to do, what not to do, it’s a very thorough training,”

As to her group, Ice Watch;

The group started out as a very loose confederation of anti-ICE activists, but has recently aligned itself with more radical organizations including Twin Cities Ungovernables.

and

ICE Watch recently shared an Instagram post of the group’s which encouraged agitators to bring items that would help them barricade the streets around where the shooting took place, even urging people to bring things to burn, such as dried-up Christmas trees.

How quickly the narrative changes...

She was not murdered. My point was to contradict the inaccurate belief that she was a simple bystander caught up in an ICE raid.

And MY point is ICE is completely out of control. There is NO justification for her murder nor the lies from the administration in an attempt to cover it up. Classic deflection.

Especially when The New York Post is on the case?

If the assassin knew she was a leading activist, that rather takes it beyond murder and into the realm of summary execution. Still no doubt that now investigations are to be taken up by the FBI we will never know!

Assuming facts not known. Do you have any evidence that the shooter knew her?

Yes, they provoked her to attack ICE and then she was shot. The planning was years in the making.

Maybe people should stop attacking ICE and turn down the temperature.

She was a brave woman fighting ICE to keep the illegal aliens in the USA. A few years ago the left was pro law enforcement. Something changed.

On her Instagram account, Good describes herself as a "poet and writer, wife, mother, and terrible guitar player from Colorado, currently exploring Minneapolis." Good was in a partnership and was previously married to Timmy Ray Macklin Jr., a comedian who died in 2023 at the age of 36. Their six-year-old son is now an orphan.

The Old Dominion University, where Good graduated, writes: "It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to Renée Nicole Good, a proud graduate who completed her English studies at the College of Arts and Letters in December 2020. Following Renée's tragic death this morning in Minneapolis, our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, loved ones, and the entire university community."

She was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Minneapolis on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. She was sitting in her car and the officer was trying to prevent her from driving away.

The usual course of action for police officers trying to stop people in cars is to shoot out their tires. The ICE officer, however, deviated from this standard procedure and shot the driver in the head. Three times.

Yes, she was a far left Antifa type out to disrupt ICE doing their job of removing criminals from the country, for social media clout.

Apparently, that was more important to her and her wife than looking after their 6 year old son.

Yeah, so many parallels... please do try to be sensible and not hysterical.

The brownshirts were an offshoot of a political party. ICE is a federal law enforcement agency. Wow, identical!

The brownshirts targeted German citizens. ICE targets illegal immigrants. Wow, again so similar!

I will let you continue the list.

Perhaps she just chose the wrong ICE agent to hit with her SUV:

According to a report by the Daily Mail, Jon Ross, the ICE agent who reportedly shot Nicole Macklin Good Ross is an ‘experienced’ officer, sources told the Minneapolis Star Tribune, but last year suffered gruesome injuries in Bloomington, MN, as he tried to arrest an illegal immigrant sex offender.

‘He’s the same ICE agent who got dragged by car 50 feet back in June, so he has a history,’ an FBI agent who spoke to the Daily Mail on condition of anonymity confirmed.

Who said that? Do you have anything to offer other than a Reductio ad Hitlerum argument? These are federal law enforcement officers enforcing immigration laws. The left has resorted to terrorist attacks on ICE officers. This is a party that claims to support the rule of law while actually undermining it.

When has the left ever been sensible on anything?

Wrong.

"Shooting out the tires" is something you see in the movies or on TV. But in reality it is impossible, especially when the vehicle is moving. I cannot think of any law enforcement agency that would endorse this as standard practice.

It is right up there with "shooting the gun out of a bad guy's hand" in being totallly unrealistic.

Well just have to make do with multiple videos showing ICE shooting a mother in the face.

Let’s pretend that’s not bad news for Trump and his goons.

No.

They are reckless and improperly trained brown shirt wannabes with depraved indifference in how they "enforce the law".

Oh, and by the way, they JUST shot TWO MORE PEOPLE in Portland, OR.

Of course they do. Nobody is disputing that. But...

When the protest takes the form of actively hindering law enforcement, physically disrupting their activities, it passes from protest (at least "peaceful protest") into crime.

I am curious to learn what happened BEFORE the shooting. And not just 5 seconds before, but longer, to get an idea of the situation. My feeling is that Renee and her wife were out on a mission to confront ICE, what the form of that confrontation was is not yet known. I would also like to see any body-worn camera footage from the agents, if there is any.

So you're advocating shooting people for breaking laws that don't threaten lives?

Latest info from Portland is that the "victims" were Tren De Aragua gang members and illegally in the US. Stopped by Border Patrol agents while driving. Then took off, nearly hitting the BP.

Don't put words in my mouth. Can you explain how you came to that conclusion?

I am saying that people who break the law assume a hightened level of personal risk. Protesters walking on a highway assume the risk that they might be hit by a passing car, for example. Attempting to stop a Federal agent from arresting a suspect might get you pepper sprayed or shoved out of the way. That kind of thing.
