A high-stakes international chase has concluded with the arrest of a French national linked to a notorious drug trafficking network. On January 12, 2026, Mr. Bones, aged 32, was apprehended by Thailand's Immigration Bureau Division 3 in Pattaya. This event follows an Interpol red notice for his alleged involvement in facilitating drug deals between Europe and America, marking him as a dangerous figure within the syndicate.

The capture was part of a broader initiative led by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and the Royal Thai Police, focusing on combating transnational crime and protecting tourists and residents alike. The investigation intensified after Mr. Bones entered Thailand through Suvarnabhumi Airport in December 2025. He intended to evade capture by blending in with tourists while planning his escape to another country.

However, vigilant investigators successfully tracked his movements, pinpointing his location on Pattaya's outskirts.

The operation was commanded by Pol. Lt. Gen. Panumas Boonyalak, the operation to detain Mr. Bones highlighted the swift response of Thailand’s security forces. The suspect's visa was immediately cancelled, and he now faces deportation to France to answer charges that could see him jailed for up to 10 years. This decisive action sends a strong message that Thailand will not serve as a refuge for international criminals.

Mr. Bones is currently held at an alien detention centre in coordination with the French Embassy to expedite his return to France. The arrest serves as a testament to the robust cooperation between Thai authorities and global law enforcement agencies, ensuring that the country remains a safe haven for lawful visitors but perilous for those involved in criminal activities, reported Siam Rath.

Key Takeaways

  • A French drug trafficker with an Interpol notice was arrested in Pattaya.

  • He was part of a network operating between Europe and America.

  • Thai authorities are coordinating his deportation to face charges in France.

Should have told the French not to have invaded so many African countries historically then, take all their raw materials, used slave labour, and then used these African men to help them in world wars

Lots of Algerian’s look just like him, as well as those from Mauritious, both former French colonies.……..I suspect his ancestory is from one or the other.

Colonization you know, and if you suspect a criminal left for Thailand, where to start looking ?

Organized crime member, perhaps. Violent thug, perhaps. Mafia member, no. If he was, he would be termed a member of Le Milieu. Seems to be more of a North African gang member.

Frenchman, born and bred. Just like most the other French drug dealers of Algerian descent who have been caught in Thailand over the years.

He doesn't exactly look like he's been living the high life here. 🙂

It does mention in the OP that he was just "passing through."

Suspect that's a frightening nickname he's adopted. Bet it's not on his birth certificate or passport.

Should have told the French not to have invaded so many African countries historically then, take all their raw materials, used slave labour, and then used these African men to help them in world wars. Then asked them to help rebuild France.

Only for a spoilt generation later to whinge on , and racists to make disparaging comments. They are French if you know French history.

Same with the British. Pilliged a very rich India for centuries to bring the wealth back to the UK, leaving the country one of the poorest on the planet. Nearly 100,000 indians needlesly died protecting the British homeland during world war 2 (more in world War 1). Then a further 2 million died due to famine due to the British policies during world war 2 in India. Then bought them over to help rebuild the country.

Only for a spoilt generation later being racist towards them.

Yeah colonialization certainly has its price in the long term, it seems as if America is about to learn that lesson the hard way.

This “frenchman” probably thought blending in with the Indians in pattaya wouldn’t get him noticed .

Have you ever been to France? In many suburbs and slums in France you see more people of North African descent than people of white color. These are the aftereffects of French colonialism.

You find a good reason why here, and people complain about Europe being ruined by foreigners? The irony

And the irony hits hard these days indeed

You forgot the Roman conquests and Genghis Khan, then there were the Pharaohs of Egypt, the Spanish conquistadors, etc

How far back are we going today, just to have a starting point?
