Iranian Chaos: Shocking Videos Expose Crackdown

Featured Replies

Explosive videos from Iran paint a chilling picture! Bodies stacked in hospitals, snipers lurking on rooftops, and CCTV cameras smashed. These clips reveal the brutal suppression of protests that erupted in late December. The extent of the violence is staggering, with authorities labeling protesters as "rioters."

The internet blackout has complicated documenting these events, but BBC Verify and HR agencies have been persistent. HRANA reports nearly 6,000 deaths, while Iran Human Rights warns the toll could skyrocket to 25,000. Iranian claims of only 3,100 dead, mostly security forces, ring hollow against these harrowing visuals.

The footage, from 8-9 January, aligns with a massive protest called by Reza Pahlavi, exiled heir of the late Shah. It's Tehran's darkest nights yet, as security forces mercilessly quell dissent. Videos confirm bodies piling in Tehranpars hospital, with one clip showing 31 corpses. Elsewhere, gunfire erupts as protestors fill highways, their screams echoing through the chaos.

Amid heavy surveillance, some brave souls target CCTV cameras, resisting in any way they can. In Kerman, men in military gear shoot indiscriminately as fires rage and chants rise. Meanwhile, in Mashhad, snipers stake out rooftops, poised for violence.

Internet access has been strangled since 8 January, yet some Iranians pierce this digital veil with SpaceX's Starlink and VPNs. As the economy buckles and more videos trickle out, the world watches, horrified but helpless.

Key Takeaways:

  • Chilling scenes of death and suppression flood from Iran!

  • Verified videos contradict Iran's low death toll claims!

  • Brave protesters battle terrifying state surveillance!

I hope this oppressive government collapses. I remember when Gaddafi attacked his own people in 2011; the UN passed Resolution 1973, authorizing military action against him. Why didn't the UN take similar action for the people of Iran?

How ironic their parents were probably in the streets

in 1979 helping to kick the brutal Shah's regime!

That's an interesting thought. Some enterprising reporters should look at this.

Yes, be careful what you wish for?

I agree. The UN has condemned Iran's abuses thru resolutions, but military authorization like Res 1973, requires UNSC consensus, which they don't have.

Hopefully the rather warships the USA has parked on Iran's doorstep, will give them pause before they do any more damage!

What upsets me the most is promises made are not promises kept

Right: The Russians are getting weapons and the Chinese oil. The US shouldn't attack, as external attacks tend to get a population to rally round the flag

Amazing how exiled people can call for protests while they are safely ensconced elsewhere.

Quite a few come to mind.

Ok fine. Trump will kick out the current leaders in power.

They will put some American puppet in power. Then what ? It will become another Libya ? another Afghanisthan ? Another Irak ? with all the chaos and civil war all around that will make things even worse ?

Also to have in mind that when the Shah of Iran was in power, many were accusing that regime of similar brutal practices with political opponents, via his dreaded secret police the Savak.

In Isfahan, several political and human rights activists told Independent Persian that a number of detainees from the current uprising are being held in a warehouse near Dastgerd Prison that lacks basic facilities. The location reportedly lacks even basic sanitation and has no access to medical care.

According to these sources, several bodies are removed from the warehouse almost daily and transferred to Isfahan’s morgue. The city’s forensic medicine department is reported to be falsifying causes of death as “car accidents” or “being shot in the street”, while witnesses claim many of the victims were healthy when they were first transferred to the warehouse.

In Tehran, a source told Independent Persian: “Some of the bodies brought to the Kahrizak morgue [in Tehran] showed no signs of gunshot wounds, but there were clear marks of bruising and hand pressure around their necks”. According to the source, these transfers took place on 19 January, and the warmth of the bodies indicated that they had been strangled to death inside the detention centre.

“The scale of the atrocity is so vast that my hands tremble as I speak or write about it,” he added.

Strangled, snatched from hospital and tortured: Brutal new Iran claims

In Mashhad, reports describe the night time transfer of detainees to undisclosed locations, severe beatings in detention centres, and security forces storming hospitals to arrest the wounded.

According to these reports, plainclothes security agents and members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), armed with military weapons, entered medical facilities and took injured protesters away, including those in critical condition. Medical sources say the injured have not returned to treatment wards.

Several released detainees also told Independent Persian that among the arresting forces were people with Arabic accents who spoke Persian with difficulty. These accounts align with earlier reports of the entry of at least 5,000 fighters affiliated with the Iranian-backed Iraqi paramilitary group, the Popular Mobilisation Forces (Hashd al-Shaabi) into Iran to participate in the repression, arrests and killings of citizens.

Strangled, snatched from hospital and tortured: Brutal new Iran claims

In Rasht, one source told Independent Persian: “When families went to look for their children’s lifeless bodies, they were beaten over the head with batons and told: ‘Move it, go find your bastard’.”

Trump promised them that he had their back.

Too bad they didn't understand that a Trump promise is totally worthless.

How many got killed emboldened by his empty promise?

Sorry, but Señor Taco doesn't do fomenting insurrection, not in Iran, not in America, not anywhere.

West playing the Menendez brothers' defense inverted if you will. Remember them? Killed their parents and then pleaded for mercy as orphans.

Here's Bessent crowing that Iranian "people took to the streets" because of maximum sanctions. And now the West's heart bleeds for the poor people.

The axis of evil US-Nato-Israel is relentless. But the mask slips.

It is to the families of the dead Iranians who were naive / stupid enough to believe Trump.

I have no doubt there would still have been protests without him opening his dumb old pie hole, but clearly not as many.

I'm in favor or helping the Iranian people against their regime but not with dangerous lies about non-existent saving.

He does more than enough fomenting regardless.

Amazing that a thread about people being killed by fundamentalist Islamist maniacs turns into an anti-Trump thread. How about the billions upon billions of dollars Biden gave Iran. BTW I've seen numbers of 30,000 killed (estimate) and Khamenei is in hiding underground. Where are the "Free Gaza" protesters on this one. Too busy protesting about ICE maybe.

Trump urged the protesters to 'keep protesting' help is on its way.

But the help never came.

True but do you think the only reason the protests continue is because of what Trump said? This time around seems to be different as protests continue. Help takes a while to get there and it's close and it's big. IMO Trump is going to slap and is going to slap hard and Israel will most definitely be slapping right along with them.

Trump warns Iran 'time is running out' as US military builds up in Gulf

Donald Trump has warned Iran that "time is running out" to negotiate a deal on its nuclear programme following the steady build-up of US military forces in the Gulf.

The US president said a "massive Armada" was "moving quickly, with great power, enthusiasm, and purpose" towards Iran, referring to a large US naval force.

Are the protests still continuing now? I thought they had been quelled.

What's coming out now is the brutality and horror, especially sad is the killing of so many in their early twenties, etc

Trump urging the protesters on and then doing nothing may have caused some to throw caution to the wind, leading to their deaths.

Let's not forget it was the hardships caused by Western sanctions that sparked the protests.

Using AI, yesterday I posted the military options open to Trump. Unless he can decimate the Revolutionary Guards or persuade the regular army to turn against the Revolutionary Guards, then a successful overthrow of the regime may be difficult.

Where are those Western Journalists who have been begging to be allowed into Gaza ?

Why arent they in Iran to report on the news ?

There are severe entry restrictions and journalists have to work under "state supervision".

What promises were those ?

In January 2026, Donald Trump promised "help is on the way" to Iranian protesters, encouraging them to take over institutions and document abusers

. He threatened "very strong action" and "major destruction" if protesters were killed, while promoting a "Make Iran Great Again" (MIGA) platform and using the military as a "locked and loaded" deterrent.

Key promises and statements to the Iranian people and regime include:

  • Direct Support for Protesters: Encouraged Iranians to "KEEP PROTESTING" and take over institutions.

  • "Help is on the Way": Pledged unspecified aid to demonstrators, suggesting the US would come to their rescue.

  • Holding Regime Accountable: Urged protesters to "save the names of the killers and abusers," promising they will "pay a big price".

  • Military Intervention Threats: Warned of "major destruction" and stated the US military is "ready, willing, and able" to act, including potential air strikes.

  • Action Against Executions: Vowed "very strong action" if Iranian authorities executed detained protesters.

  • Economic Pressure: Announced a 25% tariff on any country still trading with Iran.

  • "Make Iran Great Again" (MIGA): Used this slogan to signify support for a change in leadership and direction for the country.
