What is the problem? Buy your beer or whatever it is in advance. Buy a box or three.. have a beer storage at home or in your hotel room.. how difficult can it be?

Exactly , I and several others have been telling them that for years, literally years, and the same people are on here every month or so whinging about the next alcohol sales restriction. Well this is the last time I will try to help them, useless pi$$heads , lol

I occurs to me with the great concern about short term bans on alcohol sales that many posters on AN are posting in a daily alcohol induced haze. I guess that would explain a lot.

Going to be interesting in 7-11s when they have to pull the shutters down at 6pm, specially like the busy ones at sunset points like soi 5 Pratumnak

You have pretty unique opinion regarding what is "Interesting" It will be no more interesting than any other day in any other 7-11 during the hours when alcohol cannot be sold.

Well, it all worked then, the big religious days no longer elicit sales bans in the tourist areas......elections are pretty rare things.

I Don't really drink alcohol, unless you consider that my consuming 1 bottle of Chang at new year makes me a drinker ? (i wouldn't doubt that you would ) and I am not "having a go" at everybody, but can you not see how pathetic it is when alcoholic ex pats ostensibly protest on behalf of "the tourists"

Just like those who would ban cannabis "for the sake of the children" despite "the children" not being allowed to purchase it from the legally licensed dispensaries who would not sell it to them anyway.

That's a brilliant idea, to put the newly criminalised cannabis back into the hands of street dealers, and criminal gangs, I mean, they would not sell any to children would they ? of course the fact that its illegal again would surely stop everybody enjoying it , like it has done for the past 100 years

Every poster think about farang, how about Manama San?

I think it would help our fellow posters form an opinion if you explained what on earth you are talking about , I never "think about farang" and have no idea who or what "Manaman san" is

Really ??? in what language or country is a bar owner referred to as "manaman san"?

or were you referring to a specific bar owner called Panama Sam ? and just made a typo?

  • Author

It's actually mama San, damn you autocorrect.

If you don't know mama san, ask to talk to her next time you visit a bar

ma·ma-san

/ˈmäməˌsän/

noun

  1. (in Japan and East Asia) a woman in a position of authority, especially one in charge of a geisha house or bar.

"bo song" "bo song" ?? you have completely lost me , does that word have some significance in sweden when screamed out by the unemployed ?

A "Mama san" is not the word for a bar owner although I suppose a mama san could actually own a bar

Ohh, I use an English keyboard at work but windows allows you you have dual keyboard. Else try [alt] 0246

It's the same with a Thai character, use in your password and unbreakable.

sober up and read again this time using your brain , No i obviously do not meet incoming tourists at the airport , that is not what I wrote, not what I meant, and it has been misunderstood by you alone it would appear.

I have, however , merely made the suggestion, to the moaning alcoholics on here, several times now , that their plight and inconvenience could be avoided or at least mitigated simply by buying their beer before the ban starts

The topic is about confused tourists.

You claim to have been warning them for years.

Be more specific in your postings in the future.

thank you for your advice , when i require more I will ask for it , but rest assured I will not be asking the only person on the thread who is having trouble understanding my comment. Here's a tip for you, try reading the post I reply to as well as my reply it might help you.

As to your last sentence,I'm not quite sure why you feel you have the authority to issue posting instructions to others, but I have no intention of changing what I write to accommodate the one sole member who is incapable of understanding
