Nonsense.

Starmer took the moral high ground.

So Starmer would not kill 40 Ted Bundys then. That would make Starmer a very weak man.

GREAT Britain deserves better than Starmer

What a very strange response but you support terrorists so it makes sense.

Not really. Look at Prince Andrew and Charles. They deserve Starmer.

Re the underlined text, seems to me that anybody who posts comments / opinions or whatever should include enough detail so that any reader understands the point of the post. And not expect that the reader go to google to try to find the point.

Google should NOT be needed for clarification on a forum but clarity of posting by a member is!

You don't have 1 minute to use google but a decade to post on a forum. That does not make sense. No poster has to explain anything. You are an elderly man. If you don't know something go read up on it.

Seems t m that Starmer is not that bad, his policies (some socialist) are pretty good, however the oppositin seem determined to find / create any reason to build some negative against him and force an election.

The latest official figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) showed unemployment rose to 5.2% in the final quarter of 2025, the highest rate since the start of 2021. Young people have been bearing the brunt of this rise, with 16% of those aged 16-24 now unemployed, nearly an 11-year-high.

In the House of Commons, Starmer offered a rare implicit rebuke of the U.S. approach, saying the UK does not believe in “regime change from the skies.”

Spain's Sanchez, now UK's Starmer. The vassals are vacillating. Who'd have thunk? To be fair to Spain though I never saw Sanchez at one of the EU leaders dutiful schoolboys lineup in the Oval O.

I’m in the UK right now.

Starmer refusing to join the the Israeli/ US illegal war on Iran is being discussed in very positive terms.

While here on this forum, those who have consistently criticized Blair for joining Bush’s illegal war on Iraq have gone very quiet. Perhaps they just can’t bring themselves to admit Starmer is doing the right thing by keeping the UK out of this illegal Israeli/US war.

Sir Keir Starmer has cast doubt on Donald Trump’s strategy in Iran, refusing to commit Britain to offensive action without what he called a “viable, thought-through plan”.

The Prime Minister’s remarks amount to a public rebuke of the US president as pressure mounts on London to deepen its role in the escalating conflict.

‘Not Joining a War Blind’

At Prime Minister’s Questions, Sir Keir said he would not authorise RAF strikes unless satisfied there was a lawful basis and a clear endgame.

“What I was not prepared to do on Saturday was for the UK to join a war unless I was satisfied there was a lawful basis and a viable, thought-through plan,” he told MPs. “That remains my position.”

Mr Trump had criticised Britain’s initial refusal to allow US forces to use bases including Diego Garcia for strikes on Tehran.

Special Relationship Under Strain

The US president later branded Sir Keir “no Winston Churchill” and accused him of ruining relationships. The Prime Minister hit back, insisting British jets were already intercepting Iranian drones and missiles to protect American personnel.

“Hanging on to President Trump’s latest words is not the special relationship in action,” he said.

Bases Under Fire

RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus was targeted by an Iranian drone on Sunday, intensifying calls from the Conservatives for direct retaliation. Tory leader Kemi Badenoch accused the Government of “catching arrows rather than stopping the archer”.

Sir Keir confirmed F-35s and Typhoons were operating across the region and that HMS Dragon would be deployed with Wildcat helicopters to bolster defences.

High Stakes, Narrow Margin

Britain has since permitted limited US use of its bases for defensive purposes. But the line is clear: no offensive British action without a coherent strategy.

With troops deployed and missiles flying, the political and military balance is tightening — and the pressure on Downing Street is only growing.

Perhaps your ‘Brit friends’ don’t have military aged children.

I have not heard anyone here in the UK say they think the UK should join this illegal Israeli/American war.

And there’s deadly silence from those who have made a habit of ranting about Blair engaging in illegal war.

Absolutely. They have much bigger issues to worry about like their tanking approval.

Odd thing to say given the clear approval of Starmer keeping the UK out of this illegal Israeli/US war on Iran.

The 'great' is a geographical reference. Nothing to do with power.

I'll refrain from any further comment against such an easy target.
