Is anyone else having issues with this ?

Im having a few issues.

1. When trying to quote another posters whole comment if you happen to make a mistake and press a back button on your phone and it goes to another thread then you come back to try quote again it doubles the quoted post. Or if you change your mind but then go back to that thread to quote another poster it also includes the old one you were going to reply to.

2. When trying to quote a portion of someone's commen the red dot things come up I find it is going all over the place and not quoting where I wanted it to. Many times it highlights the entire quote right to the end and I have to start over again. Seems either im all thumbs or its a very delicate process im messing up. Other times it seems it has a mind of its own.

3. The quote box in black is always getting in the way. Grrrrrr.

Are these issues happening to anyone else or ?

Are you on a pc laptop or phone while using AN ?

It double quotes for me also. I just delete the second post by highlighting and back spacing. It didn't do this before, so I'm thinking it's a glitch and temporary. PC mostly.

That happens, usually you have to clear the reply box out and start again, sometimes it will give you the option to continue with the reply or clear the editor and start again.

Trying to highlight a portion to quote can be tricky sometimes and sometimes it will go up, or down, very quickly to highlight the whole text, am on an iPhone, difficult to separate the red dots if they are close together. Sometimes easier to hit select then reduce the highlighted text down to what you want.

I find the “ quote “ button is in a better place now than before, maybe it was close to the emojis before ? Used to be in a black box but now is in blue text and I haven’t hit it for ages so am pretty sure it is better for me, at least.

Could be in a different place on your phone or pc i guess.

I mean the quote selection box. Sorry if I made that confusing. When I try to highlight a part of a quote then the quote selection box pops up. Always in the way.

I'm having the issue you outline in point 1.

Here is a thread. The answer from CharlieH is correct.

If you draft a post but exit prior to posting it and then exit, next time you go into that thread the post appears and clear editor is gone.

I use an Android.. No real problem with quoting..

Okay, doesn’t happen to me on my phone, you haven’t said if it happened to you on phone or pc.

Do get a few things popping up though, the black quote selection box, the options under the quoted text.

Im using a phone on AN. Its that black quote selection box in your screenshot that im talking about. Its always right near the blue dots and gets in the way constantly.

Okay, with you now, on my iPhone the black quote selection box always stays near the bottom of the screen as in my previous photo when I have highlighted text to quote, even if I scroll the page up or down.
