When the Iran War Ends What Would Constitute Victory for the US?

Featured Replies

A wonderful example of Thai/Iranian cooperation.

The Iranian Embassy in Thailand also issued a statement saying that the passage was the result of “close cooperation between our two countries and the Sultanate of Oman”.

“We value our friendship and will never forget our allies,” the statement said.

Iran recently took responsibility for a missile attack on the Thai bulk carrier Mayuree Naree. It is now working with Oman on an attempt to reach the ship and rescue three Thai crewmen said to be still aboard.

  • Hopefully victory will be enough to clear out the Iranian sock puppets on the net. When they shut up its over

  • Victory will be whatever Trump says it is. It will be a big victory, the biggest the world has ever seen, a victory like no other, the most beautiful and biggest victory in the history of the world.

  • Got it. Trump is trustworthy and peace loving. I forgot. Nobel should take that explosives guy's name off the Peace Prize and put Trump's name on it. I mean many people are saying nobody knows more a

Another words nothing to add…..just because people are against trumps war doesn’t make one an Iranian (sock puppet).to me a victory would be international navy’s escorting commerce in the area and trump removed from office so he can no longer provoke chaos on the world.

Get back to sending the mullahs billions of $$ you mean?

Trump is already doing just that:

Trump, Bessent struggle to defend easing of Iranian oil sanctions amid a war

When the international nuclear agreement with Iran was completed in 2015, it opened the door to Iran gaining access to roughly $1.7 billion of its own money, which had been frozen by U.S. officials. At the time, Trump said allowing Iran to get such a cash infusion was “insane” and “ridiculous.”

Roughly a decade later, the Republican administration is clearing the way for Iran to receive $14 billion in oil revenue, even as the U.S. wages war against the Middle Eastern country.

The state funeral should be bigger than VJ day. Trump will finally get the grand parade he deserves.

Win or lose, it’s gonna cost the US economy big time. No oil, no urea for fertiliser, no Helium is coming through the strait.

Higher oil prices for South Korea, Japan and Taiwan means higher chip prices for all those US AI data centres. Shortages and higher fertiliser prices for US farmers. No Helium for Intel and all the other chip makers.

That’s without pushing Japan towards having to sell their US debt.

The GCC are not earning so US investment for them is no longer so attractive, and it seems as if expecting the US to defend them hasn’t really paid off. On top of that, now they are not shipping oil, Trump not only tried to stiff them, but tried to blackmail Europe into signing contracts to buy expensive US LNG.

With friends like him, the GCC don’t need enemies.

The EU and Australia have recently signed a new trade agreement the talks have been ongoing for 8 yrs Trump & his tariffs has been the catalyst for the recent signing.

Countries around the world are bypassing the US making new deals the result is the US will no longer be preferential trading partners.

That will only make the US poorer and weaker which can only be a good thing for the world.

With less money to spend on weapons maybe they will stop starting all these endless wars.

Trump's setting lower expectations daily. When asked yesterday about who will control the Strait of Hormuz, he replied "Maybe me. Me and the Ayatollah, whoever the Ayatollah is".

I'd say the Omanis might have something to say about it too.

"US President Donald Trump on Monday said he and Iran's ayatollah could "jointly" control the Strait of Hormuz, as he unleashed a flurry of de-escalatory statements.

Trump said the waterway through which 20 percent of global energy supplies pass will be "jointly controlled. Maybe [by] me. Maybe me. Me and the Ayatollah, whoever the Ayatollah is", Trump told reporters on Monday when asked about his claim that talks were underway to end the US-Israeli war on Iran.

The Iranian embassy in South Africa immediately trolled him by releasing this:

This was a war for Israel, not the USA ok. Apply critical thinking skills and read the room. We know what we can do to Iran and have clearly demonstrated that over the past 3 weeks, but the rate-limiting step is whether the Zionists are happy and can claim victory. If they are not happy or assess that their objectives are not met, they will continue to unleash hell on Iran and there is nothing, the USA, China, Russia or anyone on this planet can do to stop them. When you all figure that out, maybe you will stop asking about the "American Victory or Defeat".

If Trump controls the strait, he will likely tax all the oil passing through it. Just the same as the Iranians are trying to do, but he will likely hike prices for China. Those Arabs will rue, if they aren’t already, the day they ever got in bed with him.

Personally, I would prefer something like this.

So what you're saying is the tails wagging the dog.

I can't disagree with you there, better for everyone if they are just left to sort it out between themselves. (with no outside interference)
