November 19, 200421 yr Hi, I can see the questions from two previous posters went unaswered since last 3 month, i would like to add few questions: 1- which are the places that few months stay toursit like me can go fishing without a boat, i have motorbike and can go any part of the island 2-Where i can buy fishing equipment in Pukhet? 3-what kind of fish can be fished, and how big? 4-Can just anyone go fishing without any kind permission? 5-where/What are the cheapest onboard fishing on boat, if one or two person only? because i know most deep sea fishing usually needs people to cover the expense of like 1,700 bhat a day per person, which is costly doing very often. 6-Any reseturant that speclize on cooking fisherman daily catch for me and what they charge, because i know such service exist for deep sea fishing for small catch (Is big catch thrown back in sea?) Will do if you just provide a good link for this with some info Thanks for any help

November 20, 200421 yr We went out finshing (with a long tail boat) a couple of times with my wifes brother who is a fisherman at the west coast (out of Bang Tao Bay). We usually left around 4 pm and returned at 8 pm and caught enough (fish and calamari) to have them prepared for a 6 person dinner at the restaurant (Laypang Beach Bar) when we returned. The whole trip was 500.- BHT. Besides getting splashed with the squidds' "ink" it was great fun. Edit: The fishing equipment was on board and others bought it in a shop on Choeng Talays' mainroad.

Is this the same place: http://www.phuket-photos.com/layan-beach-r...ge=IMG_7890.htm We are two person, would your brother's wife offer this service to any one and for what price? If yes, i need to have his contact. If not, any place to fish without a boat? How much usually the resuturant charge for preparing the catchs? So basicaly you saying that we don't need to carry any fishing tools if we go with any fisherman? And do you have to thrown back big fishes into the sea or can we have them? Imagin how it would be for a Three foot long fish eaten by two person? Yummy
