Anyone got any jobs on offer? I was told last week to look for new employment as the company I work for is on the brink of collapse.

I'd love to live in SE Asia and I'm pretty sure I can rent out my house here to cover the mortgage, so I only need a wage that lets me survive there (hopefully comfortably) and save enough to come home once in a while to see my kids.

I'm loyal, honest, and if I say so myself, intelligent and physically tough, and can turn my hand to just about anything. I have a coule of formal quals but alot of life experience.

Hi matey, that is certainly not good news.

Come around tomorra, Tuesday, its ya day off if I recall correctly.

If ya do, hope ya like cricket, ODI, Floppy Green v Black Caps, a day niter.

Gotta go out in the am, but be home by 1400hrs.

Hope to see you, call me, ya have my mobile....... I thinx.

Harcourt, if all else fails, you could always be a TEFLer. (Where's my coffee...?)

Ping, good idea, Harcourt seems to have a good grasp of English.

Also Strine and Kiwinese, which would be am enhancement for his tutoring skills.

I've thought of that, thanks...and I might go that way. I feel I need to do a formal ESOL teaching course first though....not sure I can afford to do that, in terms of time not earning a wage, at the moment.

Nevermind. I will prevail. But a job in SE Asia would be cool right now :)

That ain't right.

He must have pushed his luck big time indeed.

Is it recorded somewhere what it takes to get someone bannned? Are mitigating factors incorporated at all? (for instance, I believe Neerananm was fairly active in the Thai language forum. Are all warnings or whatever punitive actions are taken cumulative?, or through longevity or contrite actions can one lessen their "score" that puts then "over the line". If not there isn't anyone that isn't headed for banishment eventually, unless they're content to hide away in this vacuous space. The more you post the closer you get to being dispatched, presumably.

Bugger. I just spent 20 minutes posting a reply to the above and now have to delete it. :)

Why is it, one has bright ideas for posts whilst lying in bed.

When back online, never to be recalled at appropriate time when back online.

Psses me orf no end....grrrrrrr

^Gawd Pete, you're not even married yet! Reminds me of that old joke - 'Beige. We'll paint the ceiling beige'.

Don't know if it's spelt out anywhere, but it seems 10 is the magic number of warnings to get you banned and there doesn't seem to be any method of credits to offset the accumulation of debits against you. Once you hit 10 that is usually it. (although I think the poster Ajarn seems to have been resurected after a demise). If I'm wrong with my assumptions please correct me.

Another original (2003) member also seems to have reached the limit and has been banned. ProfessorFart, who was always a little on the gruff side, and seemed to have a propensity to post when pissed, is gone.

I'll probably get in trouble for saying this, but some former members posting with new niks seem to tolerated as long as they stay within rules. :)

As a first step toward reeducation maybe a rehab section in TV for those with over

2000 posts where a 30 day banishment takes place.

There with other band members they have a chance to purge

and remove the toxins from their posts.

555 'Jail'. Not exactly original... :)

I would have loved to have read the last straw post. I looked at his profile on the offchance that a deleted post may still be on record with a member's other posts....his last few posts were quite tame.

Ha Ha, tolerance not afforded to the Gent, who gets shot on sight :D

He's not exactly a low profile. He does tend to stand out. :D

Who are you talking about? C'mon.....we haven't all been here as long. Give us a hint.

On the current subject.....how are platinum members treated in this respect? I would expect that a paying member might have a certain amount of leniency.

(Pooky, take note)

Who are you talking about?

Originally the Gent ( I think ) but over a period of time, numerous Greek myth figures and latterly Laganside, unfortunately outed by Lan.

He is actually a good informative poster, but he does have certain extreme 'right footed' Six County views on certain subjects and has a propensity to upset a particular poster on here, if it is any consolation, he takes great delight in upsetting certain members of another site, some people think he is a reincarnated Scampy, he is not.

Apart from the fact he has a poor choice of religion, I think he is an OK sort of guy

NZ Gummint hs raised the driving age and GST.

Loved the last...... hehehe

cartoonpart235.gif

Is that right, Pete - they are really raising the GST in NZ? It would be suicidal for any gov't of the day to do so in Oz - although they did so quite a few years ago in Blighty (VAT) after promises that it would never happen. And what are they doing with the driver ages?

I get regular updates from TV customer care….

They keep nagging me about my multiple accounts….

I try to keep a low profile but sometimes my poor choice

of religion rears its ugly head….

If I wasn't staunchly atheist, I would probably be Budhist (should I add "too"?).

I've just now spent about 20 minutes trying to find where I announced my 5,000th post (about 12 or so months ago), and after trying a couple of search methods and some page-by-page flicking, I've given up. So c12 months and 20 minutes later, I'm now up to 4,000 posts. :)

E: And as has become my tradition, despite proof reading, I found a mistake after I'd posted...

Good grief! We're not going into the lost post weeping again, are we?....or did you miss that few weeks of teeth gnashing and wailing by those that lost credit for a number of posts because some forums were converted to "not counting towards post count" forums (like the jokes forum)

Kiwi women have more sex

More than 100 years ago Kiwi women were the first to get the vote, and in recent years, we've had some of the most powerful jobs in the country.

Now Kiwi women have come out on top again - but this time it's in bed.

According to a global survey on market research website onepoll.com, New Zealand women are the most sexually experienced in the world, with an average of 20.4 sexual partners in a lifetime, more than any other nationality.

Comedian Michele A'Court thinks the findings prove New Zealand women are more honest than those in other countries.

In the US, for example, some young women proudly proclaim their virginity, despite engaging in non-penetrative sex acts, she says. "Without making myself sound like a slapper, my initial reaction is that 20.4 doesn't sound like a huge amount over a lifetime."

Sexologist Dr Michelle Mars puts the result down to the failings of Kiwi blokes.

"New Zealand men aren't very good at picking up women unless they're really drunk. So what tends to happen is in New Zealand, women are just as likely to ask men to have sex as men are to ask women. "While a lot of people would read that statistic quite negatively, I think it's quite a positive. It's more of a gender balance in people getting the kind of sex they want."

Former gossip columnist Bridget Saunders, who is writing a book on bad sex, believes New Zealand women are "incredibly sexually active" and is worried by the trend.

"A lot of it is to do with the new 'ladette' culture," she says. "It's almost like wanting to be one of the boys, or to be more like one of the boys than the boys are themselves."

The world's most promiscuous men were Austrians, with an average of 29.3 partners.

By Alice Neville

Any Austrian men in nTV, hands up?

Wonder when my share is cumming? :)

Because it is an "average" it all comes down to the ratio of frigid vs slut, and prude vs relaxed. Hence Thailand's bargirls do not factor in.

As for the most promiscuous men having had 29 partners.....I think that is rather low, even if you don't count "proffesional encounters". :)

^Agreed. How many blokes here could honestly say they've had less than 30 flings (not including - as Harcourt puts it - professional encounters)? Not too many, I'd wager. I dare say many of our female Bedders compatriots have also had more than the occasional dance around the table...

I think that once again it comes down to "averages". All the nerds and socially inept in a population bring the average down....plus the religious and impotent etc.

Then there is the Thailand factor.....from most accounts in General, it would seem that Farang men score alot more than any national average when they are in Thailand.
