Random Post #1772 - Have you ever got the feeling you were being followed? :o

E: T

My new glasses are really fab. Silhouette Titanium Wave. The lightest glasses in the universe!

In the universe? Reminds me of the Miss Universe contest. Miss World I can understand, but Miss Universe? What about those legendary beauties from Proxima Centauri who were precluded from attending the contest due to the planned inconvenience of the venue? It's somewhat akin to those two-bob hamlets that stage the 'World (insert obscure sport) Competition', where the competitors are all from villages within the surrounding ten kilometres.

But I'd wager imagine that they are very light sunglasses!

Glasses, sorry. Why did I read 'sunglasses' into your post?

I'm sure you could get them as sunglasses!

...and they would probably be very lightweight!

Lightweight glasses, for lite beers.

Of course, the good thing about specacles these days is that they have refined the lens technology. You don't often see lenses like the bottom of Coca Cola bottles as were a familiar sight years ago. The only thing in Oz that has changed with beer glasses is that years ago, most people drank from 7 ounce glasses and few from 10 ounce glasses (AKA 'pots', 'middies' or 'half pints'). You rarely see people drink from 7s these days and many more people tending to drink from 'schooners' or 'pint' glasses (including myself).

Good on ya Ping, pint glasses rock! :o

Yes I find it convenient to not have to wander back to the bar quite so often. Now all we've got to do is to get them to do pints of Jim Beam & Coke! :o

Reminds me of a joke by Billy Connelly and 2 pints of Creme de Menthe! :D

Just read on the BBC that teachers are complaining that the Armed Forces are recruiting in schools !!

How dare they go into inner city areas and offer the lads and lasses the chance to learn a trade or enter a profession with a fairly certain career path based on merit...........disgusting

That's all well and good but sausages can come in many different flavours.

And shapes!

I have noticed sausages are getting smaller.

I have noticed sausages are getting smaller.

Is that cos you're getting older? :o

I think age and sausage size are related, not sure about unicycles though.

or bicycles, my favorite

Sizes? Don't they call snags something else when they are different shapes; eg cevapcici, rissole, hamburger, patty, pork ball? Don't think I've ever eaten a flat, disc-shaped sausage... But yes, the sizes of your snags are certainly varied - tiddler little cocktail ones, long skinny ones, large thick ones. A butcher's wife once said to me, 'The measure of a good family man is the size of the sausage he takes home to his wife'. (Her husband said that size was less important - 'tis the way it's prepared that counts.)

:o:D:D

Good one Ping , but really woman who do say that are lying .....oh my yes they do !

Why? What's wrong with a small idea? Don't tell me your wife's convinced you that it's all about size (rather than quality)? See - it all goes back to the snag analogy...

I have small ideas all the time. Big one's give me a headache.

Good for you Limpy! Nothing worse than those 'my head hurts' ideas.

Random post - what's the small idea?

Yep, small ideas cause less clutter in the brain box unless, of course, you have no idea :o
