They've just started this quaint new television series on UK TV (a cable channel here) called Doc Martin. Looks interesting. It's a UK series about a surgeon who has a panic attack whilst in the operating theatre as man's mortality finally dawns upon him. So he realises he is through as a surgeon and packs up and goes and opens a general practice in a small seaside village.

Having been glued to the screen for the first two episodes, I happened to notice in the end credits that it was made in 2004! That must have been a heck of a bumpy long ride on the ship for the videotapes to take four years to get to our shores! I'm guessing that the series has already folded in Blighty.

Doc Martin has been going in NZ for years, well 4 or more, possibly.....LOL

I am addicted to it, great humour and some really good characters.
