Sir Ejit :o Perhaps that is the reason for the difference in clientèle.

In a nutshell:-

It's the difference in modding policies between the two that is responsible for "the difference in clientele".

Some people prefer the policy there and some people prefer it here. Modding policies shape the forum and attract different types.

Me? I can go with either.

Yes, and the broad nature of posting subject matter over there too makes for more interesting and heated discussion. I almost never come in here, and never did read or post much in bedlam, but I agree that people like Jet, NR, Momo were probably valuable contributors in here and are obviously missed as I've read through this thread.

I miss cdnvic.

Where is he?

Found him. He's been busy with work and nappies changing. :o

More Broad or more Base?

You have picked one thread from one sub-forum, the same could be said for any number of threads in the other place, as for heated discussion, I am all for it as long as it is reasoned and not played out amongst children in a play-ground.

I almost never come in here,

Have a look around, you can often find a thread worthy of comment, they generally don't fall in a heap under a barrage of expletives though, but you might find one or two worthy of comment.

Good Luck

I can't remember the last time I saw something here that made me belly laugh. Over there, at least once a day.

Here for info. There for laughs.

I get laughs in Bedlam all the time! :o

As Bedlam seems to make your belly ache rather than laugh Sir Burr, two questions spring to mind:

1. What do you add to the mix?

2. Why do you bother to come here?

Although you livened up the Phuket forum the other day with a couple of amusing japes, your posts in Bedlam these days seem to be mainly to whine about what you find here.

(at least when you're around I'm no longer the biggest grump in Bedlam)

I know how to prompt it the movement but don't get expectation hight and all. Tiny little meow needs to get furrrrr back on track.

I like to stir things up in here to elicit posts like yours, for my own amusement. Does that answer your question?

Yes

Sir Burr's response was entirely appropriate. However, it doesn't explain Kayo's extended absence. I have no other option other than to ressurect and old thread to try to spur him into action.

Maybe we will all be a little bit wiser as to the reasons for his inaction, which I suspect are not related to "inaction" at all. quite the opposite, I suspect.

Well, I think the main purpose of TV is to be an informational service, so we appear to agree that it ticks that particular box.

As for laughs, well, whatever rocks your boat, it would also appear that our humour is pretty different and this particular forum as a whole is pretty much diverse.

I don't think you have stirred it up too much, in fact I find myself agreeing with much that you say, Bedlam can be a little dull on occasion, in my opinion, but most appear to enjoy it more than me and so my humour can be a little off beat.

For instance, I just didn't find the Honda/Hitler joke funny at all, but you did, I am not sure about others.

As for stirring it up constructively, how about having a scoot through some past threads and give us your insight on some topics that have had some hot debates, but have never degenerated into a free for all.

I for one, would like to read your views on some.

If you're that interested, name a thread.

All the ones in Bedlam seem to be either too pink, fluffy bunny, or, dedicated to giving each other hugs and kisses.

Mwaah SB ... on the lips.

I may be missing something glaringly obvious here, but if it's so tedious for you here, why hang around? I mean, don't worry; we'll survive.

Yes, you have missed something glaringly obvious. See post #526. That should answer your question.

Bleeaaah! (franticly wiping lips on back of sleeve).

If you're that interested, name a thread.

Well, how about a few kind words on this thread regarding Trolls or this one regarding the Bon Mot then there is this one on Democracy you might consider a light hearted post here on your Word of the Year or here on TV Cliches

Blessed are the Poor or a more topical on Morals and the British Gov't

So there is a few to choose from, if you wish to impart some wisdom to the fellows of Bedlam. :o

I will survive, I will survive...

I just know Taddy can continue with these words without googling them! :o

When anybody stood up at the karaoke in the UK to sing that song, I would leave the bar.

Nope, I hadn't missed that one and no, it doesn't, not really. Still, hey ho...

:o I wouldn't blame you, the worst karaoke number in the world. And always sang badly!
