Yes, I have a Mac, therefore a computer snob.

Pray tell, where did you get a 8 terabyte video card from?

cpu--Intel 2.0 ghz

Ram--512 mb

VGA--- 128mb

hard-250 gb

Intel E660 core2 duo - 2.4

4GB ram

9800 GX2 1gb GFX card (new, expensive... but sexy as h*ll!)

2.5 TB of HDD (1TB internal, 500GB internal, 750GB external, 350gb internal)

22" LCD LG wide screen monitor (occasionally rigged upto my 32" LCD TV)

7.1 Sound Blaster speak system (cant remember the model)

Sound Blaster Audigy LS sound card

Thermaltake Shark box - all blue LED's and fans - actually has cold air coming out of the side panel!!!

Thermaltake Heatsink fan - my cpu is asking for a jumper its running so cold!

Does that win?

Double yep ! (yep !) (echo!) (guess which is female!)

Well, I have two or three boxes full of CPU parts and if you add up all the numbers I'm sure they beat everybody elses. :o

My first computer that could sit on a desk was an 8080 on a piece of circuit board and was programed to control traffic lights with switches and ran with, I think, 8k of memory, before that I used a punch card machine that was a large desk in it's own right.

I replied to my first email in 1984.

How do you find out what it is ? :o:D

'Control panel' and 'system' is a good place to start for your processor and RAM. 'My computer' and view your hard drive, it usually tells you dependant on your settings, if it doesn't, alternate click and view properties, voila!

Mine; Intel ® Core 2 Duo CPU T7300 @ 2.00 GHz 2.00 GHz

RAM 2046

Hard drive 109 GB

ps don't know what any of this actually means!

Cheers Tigg's :o

Right then, when i go to Control Panel i have a AMD Athlon 64 processor 3500+, 2.2 GHz 960MB of RAM

And when i go to My Computer it says i have 186 GB on the hard disk

Does this make sense ? and is it any good ?

Its fine MrBoj. :o These guys are computer technoheads. Pay them no mind when they sneer at your normal PC. :D

Thats a beast, with a small CPU upgrade it would run anything (if it diesnt already)

You must play games with this computer.

I'm not sure exactly what the specs are on my PC, but I know if you push the blue button you can start using it about a minute later.

Yeah i know the CPU is letting it down, waiting out for the quad cores to come down in price, then i will get myself one... will prolly over clock it as well :o

And yes, its a gamer rig, well it would be if i could get my "Age of Conan" beta account working, actually it doubles up as a media server as well. My old gfx card (8800gts) kinda got damaged during a custom heatsink transplant, so i will put that in the second box when i build it, as its no good for gaming now.

and yeah i guess i am a bit of a technohead, but i dont snear at lesser computers, as long as it serves the purpose you bought it for then its good for you :D
