And hey, looks like it worked. We were on our way there and the director's secretary calls. Seems he was called-away at short notice and had to hotfoot it down to BKK. So I saw the three assistant-directors. Well, they just seemed to give up! Within the first minute they were saying "when" you work here not "if". They offered me a place to stay whilst I'm actually working there (Mon-Fri there, back home for the weekend) and finalised the salary immediately. I'll be seeing la grande fromage next Monday but apparently he's a pussycat. So, not home and dry yet but I'm mightily encouraged.

Well done Micky. I envy you being able to work in Bangers. To get out of blighty and all the <deleted> that is going on here at the moment, i have taken up a post in Riyadh, starting next sunday. Ah well, it's totally tax free, free car and petrol, free villa, food allowance and a cleaner. The downside is MrsBoJ and EmbryoBoJ won't be coming out for a while
