Ive visted CR a few times and really like the area, nice and quiet surrounded with lots of nature and no Mcdonalds golden arches ( Perfect)

Initially Im going to rent but then intend to buy, I want to live fairly close to the town centre and wanted to check if there were any good housing developments say within a 4 KM radius. Also I just wanted to get an Idea of the prices both for renting and buying, Im looking to buy a 3 bedroom house about 200 sqm living area with swimming pool on say 1000 Sqm of land, to rent Im looking for 3 bed modern house, just clean and tidy probably for about 6 months untill I find a place to buy.Any advice muxh apreciated.

I think prices can vary a lot within a 4 km radius .. and what is "good" to one person may not be "good" for another.

You might think abourt taking a short term furnished rental .. maybe 3 months at a time .. then start looking around at what's available. I have seen some rentals in the classifieds .. maybe one of Soap's houses is available? Talk to some of the local expats.

You don't say what your marital situation is. A foreign individual cannot legally own land in Thailand. Take everything into consideration and move very slowly.
