Hi Rooo,

It's been a while I drove that bit, in a bus. About 5 years ago.

It's a very beautifull and scenic drive and a fairly easy one.

Count about 2 to 2 1/2 hrs for ferry, waiting etc. Than it's approx a 4 hours drive.

Apparently there's a new highway somewhere, which doesn't show on a map and isn't really well pointed out, straight to Phuket from somewhere in Surat Thani. Since almost nobody seems to know about it, it's a very empty highway, so very fast travelling.

I'm sure though that some folks have better updated info on this.

Are you going by bus or by your own car?

Route 402 to Phang Nga

Route 4 to Phang Nga

Route 415 to Surat Thani

Route 401 to Surat Thani.

About 300 km.
