It's a great idea. Every time a Thai on TV thinks it is funny to hit another person over the head (which is very un-cool, culturally), the medics could come on stage and diagnose the brain damage. In the inevitable chase scene in a movie, one wreck is all you get, and then you have to run. One bullet to the heart or brain, and the actor dies, forever. Maybe do war movies of the Brits burning German civilians to a crisp at Dresden, and the Americans toasting the civilians in Tokyo. The Japanese could release a realistic movie of the rape of Nanking, with bayonets inside dead vaginas. Realism.

There was a debate in Saudi for many many years before TV was allowed to be broadcast in the Kingdom - and the only way it was allowed in was by promoting it's value in communicating the teachings of the Prophet and the Qu'ran easily and quickly. Saudi TV still stops at prayer times and puts on a religious feature - even when the scheduled programmes are running. So you see twenty minutes of football, then it's prayer time, then it comes back and the team you support have lost by three goals to one. So it's not all bad, is it?

Satellite TV is available - several channels distributing US rubbish and local rubbish. All satellite providers have a Saudi connection (Showtime and Orbit are the main groups) or are Gulf related (English language from Dubai, Kuwait, Qatar and so on). Cartoon Network is very popular - doesn't have any religious content.

But this is far more serious - a president is only a politician and will be gone in four or eight years, after he's made all his millions.

The most important point to mention is :those gulf-countries are America's most honest dogs and blind follower .

So, it's truly unfair to think that being an American's in those countries enough to get you killed , terrorists attacks or crimes against others do not recognize the victims' race or religion when it happens.

Not Americans mostly - take the UAE - 600,000 Arabs (Emiratees), 40,000 Westerners (Irish, American, Brits, so on) and 1 million Indians.

Most of us are certainly not treated like kings - oil and gas workers out in the desert, living in portable cabins, working 12/7 and getting the hel_l out of Dodge every 3-4 months. And my salary - compared to the late seventies - is very low. But no one will employ me back home (UK) because they are convinced I will jump at the first overseas job that comes along.

The most important point to mention is :those gulf-countries are America's most honest dogs and blind follower .

1-You can live as long as you wish in any country; but you never could become as one of the local-native people, or even figure speaking professionally their language or their dialects-pidgins of the different areas in that country.My grandmother (was a foreigner); she never could understand all the accents and dialects we had in my country even after living 60 years there! and that applies very accurately on the foreigners(non Muslims & Muslims) who live in Europe or the states as well. They can live there for several decades, but that doesn't mean they would adapt completely or become as the native-local ppl in many aspects.

3-I can agree with you on few facts there but not all. The salary you are getting, although it's less than the 70's, but yet it is higher than any other counties out side UK or the states nowadays (maybe-not sure).
