Penang don´t issue them anymore. My friends where there thursday last week and got only 3 months non b visas.

one of my staff was there about a month ago and managed to obtain a 1 year multiple B visa. However he said there were many people who only managed a 3 month visa, even fellows that have been living and working here for 15 years. Don't know why my staff was able to get one, maybe just hit and miss I guess !

Hi SR

Did your staff use a agent or apply in person?

Thanks

I need to renew my 1-year non-b visa in a few days time. I was advised to go with herbert to khota buru however he's fully booked on the next trip (nov.2) and my visa runs out on the 30th november, so I'm going to have to fly to Penang and chance it...

He advised me not to use an agency and to go to the embassy in person.

I have work permit, company, etc. So fingers crossed I'll get a one year...

Just to give you guys an update...

I just picked up my 1 year Non-B Multiple Entry Visa!... I used Mohammed at NJ Books.

I am a director of my own company on Samui. I submitted my Work Pemit, necessary paper work and also a document of employment stating a year contract (I think that sealed it!) - oh and some positive thinking!... It worked.

Good news. Hope when I have to go in March it is still possible. Can't afford another trip back to Oz.

on Thai visa today

i think its relevant to those who are doing the visa runs

n order to limit the amount of foreigners using "back-to-back" border runs, Thai Immigration has issued a new regulation regarding the 30 days tourist exemption.

Effective immediately, travellers without visa will get only 15 days of stay if they are arriving via a land border checkpoint from a neighboring country.

Discuss this news in our forum:

Passengers arriving via an international airport will obtain a 30 days stay, and for them there is no change.

Travellers with Malaysian passports will obtain a 30 days stay.

This police order number 778/2551 is today confirmed by Royal Thai Police, Immigration Bureau, in Bangkok.

This means if you have a Visa, say a Non Imm B multiple entry, you will receive 90 days as before, correct?

it doesnt sound logic to me.

this will actually double the number of border runs, if you need to go every 15 days instead of 30 it means you go twice instead of once.

Correct, the 15 day rule only applies to visa exempt stamps.
