I've spent couple of weeks trying to get a return flight to Australia next month. Two agents, including Thai Visa Travel, told me that there were no seats available in January and a recommended agent elsewhere failed to ring me back.

I called into Melody Travel near the WangCome today and not only got my preferred flight dates, but was amazed at the cost, which was identical to the last time I used them two years ago.

These flights were also cheaper than the cheapest I found surfing the 'net.

bkk - adelaide for 37.5k baht quantas are flying 14 and 31.02 for 2 weeks stay. Ticket directly from the airline, some agents or online might be cheaper

U might try Chiangmai-Singapore direct on Silk Air, and onto Aus from there. It will be a while before BKK gets caught up, where as CM was not affected.

Thanks guys, I'm even thinking about just getting the train south from CM and flying on from either KL or Singapore.

I'll see what happens with the Agent this week, I want to go a week or so later now anyway, about the 25th.

I've done the Silk Air flight in the past MJ, it's a good idea if you want to give BKK a miss.
