It's Playboy. If anything, it is massively appropriate. They are showing one of the finest examples of God's creation in a (realtively) respectful manner.

I think it's an excellent call on playboy's behalf.

I'm sure they knew exactly what they were doing beforehand, and must have anticipated that there'd be some negative reaction. They decided to go ahead with it any ways.

The controversy alone will probably guarantee that this issue will be a best seller, and any apology would be (is) hollow. They are probably giggling themselves silly looking at the gross sales figures.

I think I must have a different idea of what constitutes a nud_e photo than many other people.

Surely, if a body is covered by cloth, with no nipples, bums or genitals showing, then it is not nud_e.

The picture shown above is not nud_e.

Perhaps the religious connotation is what causing the biggest uproar. Some thing that I, as an athiest, find amusing.

There was a huge scandal in the US some months ago when a renowned photographer published some pics of a 15yo pop singer, Miley Cyrus. She was drapped in a sheet and the only flesh showing was her back. Nothing more was showing than you would see on any beach. I couldn't understand what the fuss was about.

If you would ask me, Taddy.......NO, I didn't like them; they're kind of old fashioned and absolutely nothing special. I've seen much more beautiful Playboy photos.

But...to be honest, I can imagine that the Mexicans, in the light of

"today December 12 is the day Mexicans celebrate Our Lady of Gudalupe — "the 16th century Roman Catholic icon from Mexico representing a Marian apparition." it must have been a bit of a shocker.

Mexico is still a Catholic country next to be a nasty criminal drugs and murderous country....well...whatever.
