Appreciate the joop noi Thaddy Kan Win, frangipani is my favorite flower here in Thailand.

Didnt actually get up to anything Miggy. Returned from Laos the morning before and made a deal with my bf to do some kind of day/night out next month to celebrate instead as we have been a bit busy preparing for a Christmas Dinner Party for some friends (it started out just as a get together, but ended up becoming bigger as we realised it would be nice for everyone to have traditional turkey dinner with trimmings and some Christmas crackers etc. We also thought it would be fun for his kids to see a Christmas tree decorated and other traditional western things. So with the decorations and traditional food, its become a bit of a task to get it all prepared).So, birthday-wise will do something nice later when we feel more relaxed.

Oh, you know, some relatives used to say to me things along the lines of .."we are going to give you your Christmas and Birthday present combined". Even though it was obviously not. Other times people would really just give something quite small in comparison to what they would give to my brother on his birthday (which is in July) as they were just so skint from present buying at Christmas time. So, although I prefer not to think materialistically, try telling that to a kiddy growing up. Sometimes felt a little short changed. The upside is that it was always nice to see Christmas trees around and decorations and things. Used to tell myself that everyone was celebrating my birthday too. Ha Ha. Who i really think may feel the sting are those born on special event days like Christmas Day or New Years or something. Ouch!
