Just heard on Thai news that Thailand Elite is bankrupt and its future will be decided within the next 2 weeks.

Apparently members may be able to keep their visas for 5 years, but this isn't sure yet.

Which Thai news please.

Front page of todays Bangkok Post, Elite is finished.

Crossy, was this in printed edition of Bangkok Post? Can't find it in the web edition, except for a few lines in their summary.

The members won't get 90% of their money back, remember what country you are in.

And I quote from the Press, "Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva had instructed his ministry to

work out compensation for the small number of members or find other ways to take care of them."

aka they will give them some kind of trivial refund so that they can deny stiffing them

completely, maybe tell them they can keep their visa extensions as compensation, but other than that please p&*s off.

So essentially they paid 1 million baht for a 5 year visa ? I can understand

why they try to put on such a brave face :o
