Do you actually mean "copywriter" rather than "article content writer"? There is a big difference in skill and $$$$ between the two crafts. BTW, I'm not trying to hire myself out .. just clarifying a subject I see misunderstood in any number of webmaster forums.

Kickster what exactly is the difference ?? I've often seen it and wondered ?? Cheers :o

English or Thai?

What you see on most information websites .. like the Thailand travel sites .. are information articles. Copywriting is primarily to sell something. All those get-rich-quick sites are copywriting. It's a different mindset aimed at pushing different reader buttons.

Really good copywriters, especially the writers who have honed and tested their craft (many started with successful direct sales snail mail letters), make a ton of $$$$$. A great sales letter might cost (and be worth) $50,000. A web article of 800 words, depending on who writes it, might cost $4 to $40.

Somewhere in between are writers who succcessfully write for mainline print media. New Yorker, Conde Nast, etc ..

Then there is AJ Rowling .. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ :D

I work for a hotel and we sometimes need promotions or press releases written up into formal and elegant English. Finished pieces would need to have perfect grammar and polished vocabulary.

Yes, that probably need to be one of those ..

If the person doesn't have to be local, try a PM to Girlx (TV member) .. she's done a lot of web content writing for one of the prominent Thailand oriented websites. Also, I believe Peaceblondie (one of the TV moderators) is capable of rubbing words together and making them sparkle .. he's over in Chaing Mai.
