Phuket, Bungalow On The Beach? Where?

Featured Replies

Hi,

As I think it's not a bad idea to travel to the west coast now to bring a bit of money there, I decided to go to Phuket instead of the overcrowded Samui.

But Could you tell me where to find a frontbeach bungalow there? (just a bed and a shower is ok, I like to live like Robinson when I go to the beach! ;-) )

Thanks.

Thanks, I found the only front beach bungalow in the south, at RAWAI BEACH !

So people don't mind to sleep in front of the sea when they come to an island? Am I weird?

Hey, just saw this topic. There are a couple of nice quiet little bungalow outfits, and one guesthouse at Ya Nui beach, just over the hill from Nai Harn on the way to Promthep.

Don't remember the names, though -- what are they? and what are they charging these days?

I think it was 600-700 baht while I was there last year.

I think Ya Nui is a swell little beach; it's one of the best kept secrets on Phuket :o

Well, maybe not anymore...

Ya Nui beach was almost totally devastated by the tsunami. I believe there are a few bungalows left but I don't know what condition they are in now. Everything that was beach side was flattened.

There are places along Rawai beach that are available. Not right on the beach of course but across the road. There is a little place called Pornmae Bungalows that is very cheap. Vichit and Friendship are nice but more upmarket than Pornmae.
