3 Hour rescue operation for trapped Buffalo.

Just before 8am on Friday Rescue Workers were called to the Best View Village close to the Maprachan Reservoir following reports of a Buffalo which had become stuck inside a hole. The buffalo which is thought to be around 5 years old had fallen into the pipe which measured 40 by 60cms. Locals were alerted to the problem by barking dogs that had surrounded the buffalo. After a 3 hour rescue operation the weakened buffalo was lifted from the hole after a digger was brought in to expose more of the open pipe. For now, the owner of the animal is not known and it is currently in the care of locals until its rightful owner arrives to collect the buffalo which was thankfully unharmed.
