Is that normal 9pin computer cable? if so then i think Ubon Comp world would have but if not then there is good elect shop near by Airport.

if one goes direction of airport and after Buy Comp building i think it was 3rd junction to right and abt 50met from junction in right hand side, there is usually big speakers outside the shop, they have all kind of electronic stuff and can even make it forya

Thanks MarcoH, no it is not a normal serial cable i believe they are also called crossover cable. I have a serial cable from uboncom but don't do what I need. I know the place you are talking about and as you say i am sure they would know where to get one or make one. I have never seen so much stuff in one shop like it. thanks jeff

You could make one yourself.

Easy way is cut a standard serial cable and cross the wires for pins 2 and 3 plus 4 and 6 leave 5 straight through.

Thanks Ubonjoe, no problem getting a cable made . I do not have serial port on my laptop and now need a usb to serial adapter or a usb to rs232 cable. I think i will have to get one from bangkok.

I have had the same problem with there not being any serial ports or not enough of them on computers. You can get a USB to serial cable or PCMCIA adaptors. How easy they wlll be to find here is the next question.

That should be easy,, if they dont have in Ubon Comp world they will order from Bkk comeing on next day,,,

ar any other comp shop,,, i dont know if they can order but my experience from UCW is that khun Tom will usually very hepfull and order if there is need for....

been using them already 7yrs now for both, business and home appliencies.
