Remote Controlled Cars

Featured Replies

I am wanting to buy my stepson a remote controlled car. I'm not talking about the cheapie style ones, but the full-on fuel/nitro type cars that you can buy here in the UK. They cost anywhere from 150-300 GBP so I would expect to be paying about 7500-15,000 baht out in Thailand.

Does anyone know of any shops either in Bangkok or Udon Thani that specialises in these types of cars. Thanks.

Hi

There is a proper Tamiya dealer in Bangkok. It is on RCA or Royal City Avenue. Most taxis can find RCA. I find it very hard to explain where it is.

Unfortunately I have lost the business card which says which block letter of RCA that Tamiya are at. I will hazard a guess at block B. I always seem to arrive at RCA at a T junction where you can turn left or right onto it. I turn left and Tamiya is nearly at the end of RCA on the right about 2 blocks from the entrance.

If you like I can draw you a map and email it. PM me if you want it.

Hope this helps.

Suggest you search the Hobbies forum. There have been quite a few threads over the years about this. There used to be a big shop right across the road from Pantip. Don't know it its still there.
