Cardboard Poster Tubes

Featured Replies

hi guys

a bit random (and not sure if in correct forum) but here goes

we run a publishing company in South Thailand.

Recently we printed a poster to sell to tourists, but we also need to supply a thin cardboard tube with each sale so the customer can take the poster back to their home country without damaging it in transit

so far found no suppliers in Krabi and Phuket....has anybody got any ideas fro suppliers in BKK?

appreciate any help!!

Hi 'bencottrell',

Welcome to Thai Visa and this forum :)

Could you give us your dimensions i.e. 'measurement of size' of the 'thin cardboard tube' that you are looking for as that would help a bit. :D

Also, please post a photo of your poster (in small size) :D in this post.

Thanking you,

Yours truly,

Kan Win :D

hi

the poster size is about 68cm wide, so I guess the tube can be 70cm wide

the diameter of the tube should be about 4cm

the poster is 'standard poster size' (or so the printer tells me) of

27*39 (inches) which is

68.85*99.45(cm)

thanks

Ben

Hi Ben,

You could do it 'The Thai Way' and use PVC Piping tubes as a stop gap. :D Ask your local harware shop to cut them into the length that you want and then file down the edges of the cut tubes. Seal the tube with tape at both ends once the poster is in. :)

Hope this helps

I could also use some cardboard tubes, but bigger, about 3 or 4 inches, from 2 to 4 feet long, also for shipping. Im in the Pattaya area, if someone has any or knows where I can get some, it would be greatly appreciated. A truck load would be fine! Thanks
