Hi-fi Audio Equipment Repairs.

Featured Replies

I apolgise if this post is not related to this forum, but it's the closest I can find on T.V.

I have an older, but still very good, Arcam Alpha CD player and the CD tray opens but when loaded with a CD and closed, the CD does not spin. The laser also probably needs cleaning or replacement.

The Arcam rep in Bangkok (Deco Dist) is not answering the phone, so may be out of business)

Can anyone kindly direct me to a reliable repair shop in Bangkok where they may have experience with British Audio kit?

I really do not want to put it into Somchai's local repair hut in case it gets lost among the dismantled washing machines and the stacks of broken, cheap DVD players.

Thanks for any help in advance.

This is a strange reply.... but we have an electronic whiz at our company that repairs everything from 250K USD medical diagnostic machines to fans.

He could probably fix your equipment

K. Prapraporn, Wichai and Montri all speak/write decent English, especially K. Wichai. They aren't always quick to reply to your inquiry but are generally attentive to customer needs (if you bought from them that is, or did your buy your Arcam from 4D digital?).

DECO is one of the largest high end distributor in Thailand and I doubt they're out of business (just bought speakers from them 3 months ago). Besides, do you really want to have your high end component serviced by someone not authorized by the manufacturer?
