Harri44
Hi, I heard about a casino in Chiang Saen called 'Golden Triangle Paradise Resort" I would like to spend 2 or 3 days there. It is a safe place? It is on The Thai side or Myanmar side? Is anybody went there already? What kind of game do they propose (We would like to play No Limit Texas Holdem for like 500USD+) Feel free to share your experience there Cheers Harri
sunholidaysun1
Never been there myself but the Casino is in Myanmar. From what I have been told you can get a Tuk-Tuk from Tachilek In Myanmar to the Casino or you can go to Chiang Saen and get the river boat .Dont forget your passport . I would also think they would have all general casino games but not sure about Texas Holdem or any other poker games ? There are no casino's in Thailand , its prohibited to play any game for money . svenivan
There are at least 10 casinos in Tachilek, probably more. You have the old Regina that also have a 18-hole golfcourse, maybe 3 km from the border. Then the new (2-3 year old) big casino 200 m to the left of the bridge when you come into Tachilek. And there are small casinos everywhere. From Golden Triangle you can take a boat to the casino on the Burma side, maybe 1500 m away. I have heard that there are a minimum sum you have to gamble for there but I don´t know how much. I have also read there are casinos in Lao, close to China but I don´t know where. Good Luck ! tb86
check out Allure Resort Hotel Casino http://www.allureresort.com/ its my old ladies far removed uncles place. Ive only been a few times but its not bad lots of slots roulette, card games im not sure what the limits are if any I have a feeling they will take pretty much anything you are willing to risk. The owners are great, used to be the burmese ambassador to the us speaks fluent english educated in Boston. The restaurant is good, on occasion very good, its a pretty clean place as its pretty much walled off from the locals, not too much to see or do outside anyways other than dvd's ect. They have a office in thailand about 1 km from the border crossing so you can check in in thailand and they will take care of your papers for crossing and then shuttle you across the border in air con.... much better than the walk across the bridge and bypassing the creepy little immigration office

chivo
Would you really trust a casino in myanmar? ha. i wouldn't. not on your life. I'm not one of those farangs that ever complains about Thais/other S.E.Asians scamming foriegners, but with specific regards to casinos/gambling I think you are asking for it.
