Pattaya’s first themed beach resort hotel opens

Pattaya, soft-opened on its scheduled date of 27th July 2009.

A 5-star property designed to a Lost World concept, the hotel features 555 rooms and suites, all facing the ocean. As a destination resort hotel, the Centara Grand Mirage offers exciting specialty restaurants and bars and features a large and versatile convention centre with a ballroom that can hold up to 1,200 people.

The Lost World theme includes an extensive water park with swimming pools, lazy river, waterfalls and other aquatic activities. The SPA Cenvaree oceanfront village offers a luxurious venue for traditional aromatherapy and therapeutic massages and treatments together with the resort's pedicure and manicure salon, yoga, and meditation sala.

I stand to be corrected, but wouldn't the Hard Rock Hotel qualify as a themed beach resort hotel?

Off topic, but I did have the same problem on another website.

This resort is truly great - it has an amazing garden with loads of fun stuff to do, slides, climbing walls, cliff diving etc...

Its by far the most interesting new hotel in Pattaya. I found it very cool!

But...........

10,000 a night for a room without seaview (facing the back)

20,000 a night for a room with seaview

30,000 a night for a deluxe room

40,000 a night for a junior suite

50,000 a night for a penthouse suite

65,000 a night for a presidential suite

My question is - where are they gonna find 550 couples/families to occupy all those room who can actually these prices?

Perhaps they know something about the hotel market in Pattaya that the rest of us don’t :-)

the only positive from this monster development on quiet wongamat beach is that city council may actually clean up wongamat beach and provide some bins while they are at it.

All room are sea facing - so I am sure I do not know what site you were looking at.

It is a great hotel- when all is complete it will be great competition for many hotels in Pattaya.

The lunch time buffet was very good as well. Looking forward to trying the rest of it.
