City Hall Facing Financial Problems

At a recent meeting at City Hall, the Deputy Chief of Pattaya City Hall, Khun Sithiphap

Muangkhum, talked about the problems facing City Hall and its budget for the current financial year.

At present City Hall have 14 ongoing projects, including the new hospital which requires funding of 5 million baht from the City Council. To meet their present commitments the city would need funding of approximately 50,000,000, however there is only 33,000,000 baht remaining from this year’s budget, and the meeting was aimed at trying to prioritise the most important projects for completion.

With the absence of Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Khunplome, there was no one willing to stick their neck on the line and make decisions, therefore the meeting closed, without any positive decisions being decided upon.

Further meetings have been scheduled, which will hopefully be attended by the Mayor, and final decisions can be made on how to proceed for the rest of the financial year.

Why bother opening the meeting.

Number one thing they must do is solve the fresh water/sewage/flooding problems, for once and for all time !!!

It realy makes a great impresion that the tourist can't take a shower

( after swimming in the lovely clean Pattaya/Jomtien bay )

untill 3AM because the water pressure has been turned down to a dribble all day,

Then how about getting some roads finished and others resurfaced ?

One thing that has improved is the electricity supply :)
