LivinLOS
Instead of adding a moving dish, which I admit would give me astro and multichoice so does have some extra benefit) I was wondering what size dish you need on Phuket to gain multichoice. Also what band / LNB type does it need. Adding a second fixed dish would be a lot easier in my setup than space and structure for a moving dish. I even have a 80cm or 1m dish spare, just need a LNB for it. Would that do ?? Or does it need the 5ft mesh dish anyway.
astral
You are looking at a C band dish (so mesh will be OK) size 145-180 cm. http://www.lyngsat-maps.com/maps/intel10_c.html You are on the 37db contour, but go for the biggest dish you can to avoid rain fade. The frequencies are shown here. http://www.lyngsat.com/intel68.html You will have to source the card to watch.
LivinLOS
Thanks.. OK that makes my spare dish useless, I may as well look at a full moving one then.
Prasert
I paid THB2500 for a 185cm dish (PSI Sat) LNB you can get from THB350 and up. So if you can spare 3k, you just need to put some effort in setting it up....
