The recent raft of pleas and promises from officials and hotel

operators in Phuket and Patong has the possibility of back-firing on them.

They continually promise potential overseas tourists that the island is safe to visit and that the beaches have been cleaned up … perhaps so.

But, as we all know, the beachfront area in Patong … its’ primary attraction … is like one giant construction site. Imagine the reaction of tourists returning, expecting to find everything as it was only to find out the true facts after they have arrived.

These people may be so incensed that they drop Phuket from their travel

plans for ever. Oh, and influence their friends back home to boot !. :o
