12DrinkMore Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Fed up with walking into the bike showroom and 1. being ignored by the salesgirls sitting behind the desk? 2. not finding any prices attached to the bikes? Here's a good source of up to date prices http://www.motorcycle.in.th/staticpages/in...ces-in-Thailand

Bard Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 total time waste, there are prices and links in other places which works...
hansnl Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Total waste of time, and that two times? Wow. What about BMW, what is so interesting about BMW, and why only BMW? And where to find prices and links that work in other places? If you declare a suggestion as a waste of time, please be so kind to offer valid choice(s) Thank you
Bard Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I am not allowed due to Thai Visa rules to post any of the places you find the information you seek. So sorry but I cannot help, but I am sure many others can. Cheers Bard
12DrinkMore Posted September 15, 2009 Author Posted September 15, 2009 total time waste, there are prices and links in other places which works... Sorry that I bothered I was looking at buying a small Honda/Yamaha/Susuki and so far the lists on this site have been very helpful For example Honda, http://www.motorcycle.in.th/staticpages/in...ycle_Price_List All the models and all the prices. Try and find out any information from the Honda site itself and you are faced with a barrage of flash put together by a bunch of schoolkids on ya ba. http://www.aphonda.co.th/ I guess the "real deal" will remain secret down the "secret soi", the location of which is presumably also a secret. :D
Richard-BKK Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Dear people, It is not to Motorcycle Thailand to not share prices, Motorcycle Thailand follows the marketing of the motorcycle manufacturers. BMW stopped publishing retail prices and we followed, we nothing more then a tool... If you visit http://www.bmw.co.th/th/en/ and select "Motorrad" from the menu you will also see that the Official BMW Retail PRICE-LIST will not work... (Motorcycle Thailand provides a service) Overall, sure Motorcycle Thailand, will not keep all motorcycle enthusiastic happy... I not believe any single source will.... we with our limitations try to do our best...

Hi richard, You are quite right the price list on bmw website don't work, here on my linux netbook with firefox , opera and on windoz also on firefox & chrome...but i swear i got it open today with ie6(even showing the finance options) ....so they (bmw) have some problem at their website...anyhow, BMW is a nice Bike but their website isn't even a quarter as good as their bikes...i hope they follow up with their shortcomings. As for the price list on motorcycle thailand it is the only "all-in one" Pricelist that i am aware of. So it is convenient. Hope it is kept up-to-date and it is good resource for those who are looking to buy bikes here . Could send you a printed out/scanned bmw pricelist if you want. hope that helps, mbox
Richard-BKK Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Officially, we received a email.. That BMW preferred to to disclose retail prices, Motorcycle Thailand followed instructions... as simple as it is... Motorcycle Thailand keeps all prices up-to-date on a weekly base... or if we receive a special price update.. Sure, again the system is not absolute perfect.... but show anything better... or give suggestions of improvement (Currently we listen mainly to manufacturers) and user info would be useful...

I was aiming for a completely different site, but since your so funny and know it all I don't need to explain has nothing to do with any secret or what have we. I have a ban for posting links, that's all... So I cannot post any links. Great that someone are allowed to post them and promote Richards website without breaking any rules, nice one. Cheers
Zzinged Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Is this the rule you speak of, Bard? 10) Not to post commercial spam or to post any promotional links, URLs or addresses to a member's own business or that would lead people to your site. Not to post URL links to other forums . Not to flood, post commercial or for-profit advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and similar solicitations.Any member who violates this prohibition will be banned from all forums on this website. Advertisers are the only members allowed to post links, URL's or addresses to their sites. If the mods should decide to remove all references to other web sites from this topic, as per rule 10, simply head to your favourite search provider and plug in 'big bike prices thailand' and Richard's excellent site will come up. It's the very first result.
