Freshening Up Kitchen Cabinets

Recommended Posts

Living in a rented house so don't want to spend big money but Landlord happy if I make a few improvements (surprise, surprise). The kitchen is very tired looking but basically sound so looking to replace or improve the kitchen cabinet doors and drawer fronts. Is anyone aware if there is a place in Pattaya that will sell and fit replacements or maybe refinish the existing ones?

Vision Kitchen would do the job for you. The are located North of the town on the left hand side facing North just after the PPT petrol station and the Toyota Showroom.

I have ordered my kitchen from them and they have better prices than the two major players in Hua Hin.

That is in Pattaya not Hua Hin is it? If so, many thanks, I'll go and check them out.

No, it is here in Hua Hin. They are located between the town centre and the airport underpass heading in the direction Cha Am. They have recently hirered a very skilled carpenter from Chiang Mai who does their more delicate work.

Thanks for the suggestion but it's a bit too far away really. Anyone in Pattaya know of a company that does this sort of work?

why dont you paint the old ones, can choose what you want, that way :D

I'm no artist and you wouldn't want to see the results....I certainly wouldn't want to live with them!! :)

Believe that was about a coat of paint rather than artistic expression.

Actually in high humidity as here find no doors much better.

I know the feeling. For a city the size of Pattaya there is not a great choice when it comes to this type of work. I hunted all around the city for new kitchen doors and out of the two that i found i went with "Chockchai" The are situated on Sukhumvit road southbound side between Pattaya north and pattaya central facing the huge "Boonthavorn" Shop on the other side. They will measure and fit and they supply good quality products. The cheaper alternative is getting them made at any cabinet shop out of that "Bits and pieces" wood thay make up. Its strong and can come up nice when painted. It has a habit of warping slightly over the years though but ok for a rental property. Happy hunting..

Glad I'm not the only one - all the kitchen shops just want to sell a whole kitchen can't understand why I don't want to buy this for my landlord! :) I'll have a look at Chockchai, thanks.

Thanks a lot for the pointer 'irishbri', went down there yesterday and they were extremely helpful and have just what I want. Decent prices too. :)
