October 29, 200916 yr Does anyone know if it is possible to bring fresh flowers from London Heathrow on Thai in BKK to present to my girlfriend on arrival? - is it allowed?
October 29, 200916 yr If not , they will probably let you know quickly enough when you are on board , take them off you and take them home 555 . Did not think too many Thai ladies were interested in flowers .

Did not think too many Thai ladies were interested in flowers . In the old Don Muang days, I used to buy my gf flowers on arrival in Bangkok. They were fresher that way. Not sure if Suwannaphum has flower shops in the arrivals hall. IMHO romance and flowers never go out of fashion.
November 1, 200916 yr Thai girls love to eat so bring chocolates as well as a back up. If the flowers get taken off you then you still get your Brownie Points. And don't forget to let us know the ooutcome so that we may benefit from your experience.
November 1, 200916 yr Does anyone know if it is possible to bring fresh flowers from London Heathrow on Thai in BKK to present to my girlfriend on arrival? - is it allowed? My experience is that Thai girls are not very interested in flowers. Choccies they do like and don't forget........'Diamonds are forever'.
November 1, 200916 yr Author I decided against taking them and prob buying some on arrival - dont want to risk getting them taken I emailed Thai customerservices no reply and rang Heathrow and they said the problem would be taking them into Thailand they advised against it. On the Thai customs website it says no plants allowed so this may cover flowers but anyway thanks for all your answers- In the US its allowed it seems becuase they talk about wedding flowers...
November 13, 200916 yr in the departure area from thailand you can buy orchids packed in boxes to take on an international flights. Most probably they were sprayed to kill any insects. Similarly you can expect same in the UK, but taking flowers on a minimum 12h flight and risking squashing them in the overhead compartment is not the best idea. buying orchids in thailand is much cheaper than in the UK, but taking them the other way doesn't have much reason
