Compact Digital Camera With Remote Control?

Featured Replies

Can someone help me with the following query - thanks in advance.

Am looking for a new/used compact light-weight digital camera WITH a seperate REMOTE CONTROL unit.

I will be visiting CWGC WW2 war graves and want to photograph names carved into concrete/stone pillars - faces - that are about 3 to 5 metres high.

I am constructing a telescopic device at present, but am now looking for a camera which, when attached, can capture all those names which are usually impossible to see from ground level.

Ideally, the camera should be waterproof/anti-shake/and the focus can be manually set at ground level and not re-set once the remote control unit is triggered.

Have visited some of the main camera stores here in Chiang Mai, but , to no avail.

Thoughts and suggestions concerning make/model/source...for such a camera would be most appreciated.

Do you know where I can buy a new/2nd hand one?

Bucklt :)

Hi 'bucklt',

I have used a seperate REMOTE CONTROL unit with my three Olympus cameras, but they only worked in and around at Max if you are lucky 1-1.5 mtrs away.

Only way is to use a 'fork lift' or a 'crane that they use to fix the power cables and street lights' to take you up to 3 to 5 metres high. :)

Yours truly,

Kan Win :D
