Depends how much you want to bring. I omported all my UK home furniture etc througl a local UK forwarding agent in who came to the house and packed everything up including furniture which all went into a container and was sent by see and delivered door to door about 6 weeks later. No duty on personal effect. Suprised how easy it was.

There is duty on HHE unless you are exempted.

I shipped all my remaining personal effects from the UK last year.

Three months later, AGS Four Wind received the two wooden crates containing about forty standard packing boxes, plus some other oversized items.

Door to door, including insurance and a mere 5000 Baht for Customs at Laem Chabang, the total cost was ₤1200.

How are you exempted?

Returning Thai after a year overseas - working on a one year extension of stay with shipment within first six months are the two most common.
