Where in Buriram will you go ?

You will always have to go via Bangkok.

Khon Kaen has 3 daily flights from Bangkok. Serving northern part of Buriram very well.

Nok Air has 2 flights per week to Satuk (Buriram). :)

As per the same post that I presume you raised in another area of TV, you cannot fly from Chiang Mai to Buriram without going via Bangkok. Various carriers to Bangkok but only Nok Air from Don Muang to Buriram, some 30km outside the city centre on the road to Satuk.

Nok Air schedule shows flights only up to first week of February, yet a week ago their schedule showed flights through to end of Feb.

Something going on here...I want to fly to BuriRam in March but I suspect Nok are going to close this route that they picked up from PB Air when they went broke.

Alternative from BKK is Bus, Train or fly to Ubon and get a long taxi ride or train to BuriRam.

I have no knowledge of how long Nok Air will stick with the flights to the Buriram airport, but for the past year I've taken at least 12 round trip rides on

http://www.nca.co.th/index.php the seemingly safe, certainly prompt WHITE single level buses with the web site only in Thai. It is simple to purchase tickets over the phone, reserve seats in advance and even pay at an ATM or 7-11 for your bus ticket with this bus line that has 8 buses each day both directions to / from Buriram and Bangkok. There is NO standing room seats, it is a very progressive bus line, UNLIKE the other bus lines I had the misfortune to patronize. The staff attitude and rolling stock is miles ahead of the BEST train between Buriram and Bangkok. They have a reasonable policy on changes and liberal LUGGAGE policy.

I think a "key" to a Farang having a good ride on this bus line FROM Bangkok TO Buriram is to board the bus at the SEPARATE, dedicated NCA bus station that is NEAR, but not at, the Mochit bus station. It has taken 5 hours 5 minutes to 5 hours 35 minutes for the journey between Buriram and Bangkok depending on the time and day of the week.

So I to am going to Buriram area in March, and was hoping to catch airplane. I land on 24 March in Thailand and was looking to go straight to Buriram. (Haven't see G/F for a few months now :D ) anyway

Having looked at Nok web site, not a thing in March????? Maybe they just haven't updated yet? economy! lack of passengers?

So guys can you recommend so other way to go from Bangkok airport Int not domestic to Buriram (well Satuk really, but Buriram is close enough) And no not walking either :)

Something not to expensive and reliable. Otherwise is could be g/f will have to travel to me in Bangkok first. But she is worried about that, lol could be another day not seeing her! :D :D

So Car? Bus, (would that mean travelling to a bus station?) TAXI!!!!!! :D

lol other idea is I go to Pattaya for a day and then catch bus north :D

Yep looks like that is what we are going to do. She can catch bus easily from Satuk, so will meet her in Pattaya for a day or two :D

then go back up to Satuk/Buriram, cool she is really eager for me to meet parents and see where she lives. :D

Pattaya is probably more fun, don't know about less money though. One can get carried away. All those flashing lights and cute girls just itching to relieve you of a big bunch of bahts! :)

Any more updates on flights to Buriram?
