Dry And Itchy Skin

Featured Replies

We just moved from a house to a new condo on the 29th floor in center of Bkk. All 3 of us that were in the same house before who are residing in this new condo are complaining about skin dryness and itchiness.

My question is if anyone has experienced this condition especially on a high rise. Is it because of water or the car pollution that does travel to the upper level?

And if anyone has experienced this what did you do to cure this condition

"sick building syndrome" ?

try getting your hands on evening primrose oil and gentrly rub a small qty into the skin... alternatively use pure unrefined coconut oil... or mix them. might help.

Extremely dry air from central a/c would be my guess. I find this happens when I spend extended periods in Bkk hotels and/or offices.

If you have individual controls try setting the a/c lower and (if it has a separate control for it) upping the humidity. Or could buy a humidifier for at least your bedroom, there are some attractive looking ones around (waterfall like effects).

If it turns out not to be this the other thing you could try is introducing a filter between the tub/shower taps and water source in case it is the water. But most places don't do anything special to the water, so more likely the a/c factor.
