It is part of a house on Nantai (3rd road parallel to water). So you are close and reasonable. Also saw Bungalows for 5000B/month around Karon.

Maybe the best thing to do is to stay at a hotel the first couple of days and look for an apartment when I'm there. I've found an apartment in Kathu but I don't know anything about that place. (Have only been to Patong 4 years ago). I suppose all the trips to Patong from Kathu will be rather expensive. (I'm traveling on a small budget)I heard that Karon isn't the best place to be during the summer due to the big waves. (don't know if I used the right words, my english isn't that good.) Any advise would be very welcome. Thank you.
May 10, 200520 yr I just moved into a nice air conditioned studio with a small balcony at Patong Canal Villa. It costs 4500/mth plus 500 for fridge rental and 500 for tv rental - both optional, of course. They also want a deposit of 3000. The building is brand new, the people are friendly, and all the amenities one would want are nearby. I looked at over 20 places before finding this one. Many were more expensive and not nearly as nice. I think it's a real bargain for the price. PM me for more details.
