he owned Anzac bar i am told.

Yes, it was John from the Anzac bar in OTOP. I knew him well. He was cremated in Patong last Sunday 9 May 2010. The accident happened 3 May about 07.15 near the Patong Honda dealership. Seems like he broke his neck and died instantly, as reported by a local Phuket newspaper. RIP John ....
