About 10 years ago I started my Laos learning experience at the Dong Dok Univertsity, about 10 km outside Vientiane. I would expect that the University still conducts Laos teaching (all levels) because it was a good money earner for the University. Hire a motorbike or bicycle and ride out there and ask around. It's an interesting day out whichever way it works out.

I know this place in Vientiane has Lao courses. I've been to the school but not taken the course there.

It's very easy to find, on the main street.

Centre de Langue française - Vientiane

Adresse : Avenue Lane Xang, BP 6572 Vientiane, RDP Lao

Tél : (856-21)215764 Fax : (856-21)215766

The website above is mostly in French. But they teach Lao too.

According to the website, they offer two levels of Lao language: beginner and intermediate.

Each course is a 50 hour class.

Please let us know how it goes.

Hey thanks for the link i ride past this place everyday and never noticed it, checked out the website couldnt get past the french so i gave them a call and they offer Lao Language courses in terms throughout the year, they're full at the moment and half way through the term anyway but have another course starting in August. This is looking the most promising option so far so if i take it up in August ill be sure to report back on how it goes. Thanks again for the link.
